I don't see anyone saying that, especially around here. Even "she who will not be named" (Anita) says in her videos that it's okay to appreciate and enjoy something while simultaneously pointing out and identifying its flaws.
I see people complaining that someone's coming for their games significantly more than anyone saying "this game shouldn't exist". I guess everyone slept through English class. Academic criticism is not a prelude to banning all FPSs, some people just like dissecting stuff.
It all comes down to self-validation, imo. People tend to associate criticisms of things they enjoy/agree with as direct attacks. When gamers see their favorite game under fire, many of them feel a need to defend against the criticism lest they feel lessened as an individual.

If everything needs a label, how about this one: HVWs (Hobby Validation Warriors).
I prefer the term "Gamer" thank you. I know, we're dead and all but I'll just be a vampire I guess.

I know it is silly to take it as an attack on yourself but its a human response I think when you deeply care about something. I know I've heard people who disagree with Anita have called it attacks on Feminism before, so its not a gamer exclusive thing.

I just don't like the idea of shaming a game because of an artistic vision. Dragon's Crown is one of the most beautiful games in gaming, we can name the type of games with that kind of artstyle on one hand, and it could have seriously been hurt because of the crusade against it by one prominent website, simply because it DARED to have shapely women (and impossibly buff ass men, but we ignore that because thats just a power fantasy.)
Some of the things said about Dragon's Crown were unfair to be sure, but that doesn't mean people shouldn't be allowed to criticize it. Personally, I have no problem with the art in the game as I know its roots (Frank Frazetta + anime right?) and there's nothing inherently malicious about having a sorceress with giant, floppy bewbs.
There's criticism and there's calling the art "Designed by a 14 year old." One is what i would hope a well researched discussion about whatever has them upset and the other is a childish attack that shouldn't be coming from someone who calls themselves a "journalist."

He outright says its designed by a teenage boy!
You said "written." He was talking character design.

"I don't like Dragon's Crown art and shittalk it, its written by a 14 year old because it has shapely women!"
Your exact strawman.

If you think that calling you on this sort of thing is an attack, report me. It's not, though. It's calling you when you misattribute and distort things because, ironically, a writer hurt your feelings over a piece of artwork.
Whoops. Meant designed. Not Written. Made a mistake there.

It makes no sense for a warrior to be among allies, or at least so many allies that they overwhelm the opposition. A Paladin in hell is surrounded by demons or devils. That's just where he wants to be.

You're asking for the equivalent of a Paladin hangout, which would defeat the purpose of a Paladin. Paladins would only temporarily go to such a place - their real work is always among the enemy.
I know catbug, but sometimes the wounds are too great and it feels like its never safe to rest anywhere to meditate in order to restore my cure light wounds spell and lay on hands. I can't keep laying on hands on myself all the time, it gets weird after awhile.

Patricia and Shcrier are why people say Kotaku is a SJW stronghold.

Thats all I'll say.
You can name two people, one of which had numerous claims about her made up by people looking for a strawman to beat on, and that's your proof?

Yeah, I think I'm going to say you just demonstrated my point.
I wasn't offering if they are SJW or not, I said just those 2 are why its seen as a SJW fortress, I could go in depth but I don't think that'll help this article.

I don't like Jason because of his attacks on Dragon Crown's art and Patricia's articles tend to be eyerollingly bad and feel like just blog posts but that is just me.
That, and it's owned by Gawker, which puts it in such august company as Buzzfeed and Jezebel.

Well considering how SJW is a thrown around term now for anyone that even remotely says "There should be more X in videogames". The answer is that they have always been there playing games. And we are now just speaking up because why the fuck not.

The notion that we came in here to "take away our hobby" is assbutts because for us to be invested in talking about something we actually have to give a shit about it in the first place.

Don't be silly, there are no social justice peeps on Breitbart. Or at least I would assume so given the type of rhetoric on that website.
Breitbart reported something that favoured Anita Sarkeesian. Of course it's a SJW site. The fact that it was true is completely irrelevant. 4Chan has also been accused of SJWing because they're sick of GamerGate sucking the place up or something. that's your problem. You're not seeing SJWs everywhere, conspiring, because you aren't paranoid enough.

Tell you what. Watch Loose Change while staring angrily at a picture of Zoë Quinn for eight hours. I guarantee, the world will seem more full of SJWs.
Is this an illusion spell or one of those fancy pants Conjuration spells?

Oh sweet Buddha don't get me started on Jezebel.

I'm well aware its a fringe but that doesn't mean I can't call the site out on being crazy as hell. A lot of anti SJW folk get their ammo from that site.

The woman's sixth comment down from the top is a literal giveaway that she was taking the piss. I mean, the fact that people took her obvious troll bait is hilarious.

Yah wouldn't believe how many people have claimed I hate women and minorities from my highly anti-feminism stance. Feminist beliefs make sense, I just hate that no feminist has those beliefs.
Hmmm... Could be that painting with a ridiculously broad, paranoid and disparaging brush gives the impression that you are not really engaging the subject matter you claim to be critiquing? I don't know, just spitballing here.

I mean, remember how it's bad to dismiss all "gamers" as while male homophobic virgins living their mom's basement? Maybe that principle applies to feminists, too?
I fit the 'white male virgin part' of the equation. Does that help?

Good to see you're all getting over Zoe splendidly and not still obsessed with recycling talking points about her.
I honestly don't understand what you're getting at here. How do you suggest that some people should "get over" attempting to destroy charities and raiding suicidal depressives?

I don't care. You made a statement, back it up if it's worth anything.

As for claims, I made one in that post. You might want to recount. But hey, here's an example (original image taken down):

http://www.reddit.com/r/TumblrInAction/comments/1e3av1/

And they got this from this totally legit article:

http://trolledbot.net/?i=6013

Because I don't go off vague impressions or recollections. When I say something, I actually can back it up.

Thorn14 said:
And there it is, I disagree with you therefore I am a white angry virgin.
Please don't lie. I said that by your argument of perception, this perception could be applied to you.

Again, this is the problem. You take everything as a personal attack. If what I said is an attack on you (spoiler: it's not, it's a demonstration about how weak your argument of perception is), then you have in fact attacked me and several others personally. In fact, maybe you should learn from this. If the perception that people in your specific position are perceived as angry white virgins, maybe don't be so quick to justify your comments about SJWs by saying "but the perception exists!"

Because it goes both ways, friend, and you apparently will take it as a personal attack if it comes your way. You don't get to have it both ways.

I personally was going to call myself Social Justice Dragon Rider, but I think that or SJ Dragon was taken by some user on page 2 of the Jimquisition.

I suppose I can always go for Social Justice Hydra? Or a Social Justice Pigeon? I hope nobody took that yet.

Well, I have been playing video-games for 20 years and that whole time wanted more female protagonists, better writing, once I got a bit older, LGBT+ people, and good stories about different life-experiences.

With dragons, if possible.

I do hang out in feminist and LGBT+ rights circles but quite surprisingly they tend to be focused on other issues than video-games.
(Or if they are, they are as a part of pop-culture)

Because this might surprise you, not all people think video-games are the most important thing.
Not that I don't think these matters are not important, but I get involved with this because I like video-games.

Man, it really hasn't been that long since our last conversation on that subject and you're already back to dictating what feminists believe.

In fairness, maybe RD is okay with gamers being perceived that way.

Now, if you'll excuse me, I have to go yell at my mom. She got me Lean Pockets instead of Hot Pockets. AGAIN!

But seriously, since I have seen the "it's okay for me to stereotype you, but don't you dare stereotype me" attitude in this thread, I'll just make a blanket comment that this mentality is really frustrating and go from there.

I agree 100% Dragons make everything better.
Otherwise we wouldn't have the trope Instant Awesome, Just Add Dragons [http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/InstantAwesomeJustAddDragons]

I don't think any of that actually happened though. I can't seem to find any actual evidence that shows that specifically happening. Or even that TFYC are a charity anyway. http://pastebin.com/Wg945t5p

But that is besides the topic, since you seem to know a lot about this stuff, can you tell me where I can find the domains of SJWs?
