Back before the release of Scream Aim Fire, when Bullet for My Valentine were touring in support of The Poison, Matt had amazing vocals. There were pyrotechnics and light shows, as well. Even a little bit of crowd interaction.

Obviously not the best live, but I would have loved to have been there for this song:
Or this song:
And this one is just awesome:

Fiendflug:
(This one builds up from a long intro)

Test Dept. (lofi):
(This one is more droning)

Industrial music new and old.

Also, funny epic fail from Swedish noise act Survival Unit:

Lamb of God puts on an amazing show. If anyone is interested, they should check them out live sometime.

No mention of Pink Floyd? The Wall was mental.

Also, Bill Bailey. "The Harp-" "*incomprehensable cheering*" "... This is one of the wierdest gigs I've ever been to!"

As much as people may hate on me and the band, Linkin Park is absolutely amazing in concert. They sound better live than they do on CD in my own opinion.

I have been fortunate enough to have seen Immortal at the Inferno Festival.

It was the single most amazing concert I have ever seen!

I'm going to go with Iggy Pop.

Mostly because the guy is freaking insane.

And he practically invented stage-diving!

and I'm seeing him live in July! :D

OT: From what I've heard, Muse or 'Maiden (who I'm also going to see. If you haven't worked this out, I'm WELL FUCKING CHUFFED) :D.

Metallica. They aren't my favorite band by any stretch but god damn can they put on a show. I think they actually sound better live than they do on the albums.

Tenacious D, definitely

Okay, okay, I get what you guys mean.

I was able to get both of those videos in sync, it was quite the laugh.

But I have to agree with Tenacious D. Mainly because of

which could be the most awesome I've ever heard. That whole show rocked, except for when they did Beelzeboss. Whoever played the devil killed the whole song.

I've never been to any concert, but, based on videos I've seen, my vote goes to Muse. (Honestly, I haven't seen many other videos of bands playing live. But, especially with the crap that is on this side of the world, and the fact that I just KNOW that Muse rocks the live stage, I feel confident in my opinion.)
Honestly, I also see your avatar, yarrdy ho!

Either way, I don't know. I've only been to a handful, and none were particularly special in any way. To pick the best I'd just have to pick my most favorite artist, which I also lack.

Best live act and best live show are two very different things.

Best live show would be Take That, and I feel the need to justify this. They put on one hell of a show, regardless of the music. It was half concert, half Cirque Du Soleil, and it was magnificent to watch. A prop elephant and hot air balloon were bonuses.

Best live act would be Amanda Palmer. She was fabulous.

ACDC, to me they're the only band that sounds better in concert than a studio recording.
