Which class do you play as/What sort of person do you play in Games?

I always go for very formal, stiff, arrogant mages who are good guys out of a sense of duty and a value for order.

It makes for interesting 'good guy but..' gameplay.

Is anybody actually ever a nice guy in any RPG? It seems like a lot more work, not to mention patience being the good guy. Either I'm a murderous freak or a petty theif.

Sometimes I am overzealous to the point of insanity if that counts. DIE HERETIC and all that.

I'm the suicidal guy that will once every now and then manage to break into the enemy base and rocket lol everyone in it (including myself). Failing that I'm usually more of a running gunner type.

Compliments of being a DM for D&D, I do a bit of everything. I created no less than 5 characters as possibles the last time I started playing D&D:

Sniper
DPR Fighter
Holy warrior
Blaster
Wild Card (I can do anything: Cast, fight, sneak around. Just not necessarily that well)


I do the same thing in any game: I take a variety of roles. Except RTS's: I almost always Tech rush there.

I always play as a good guy but a realistic good guy I like to be a bad ass but I dont make my guy a saint lol. As for mmorpg's I like to be a range character

In RPGs im usually a theif or ninja, something that steals a lot of stuff, In FPS im the crazy suicidal guy who jumps in guns blazing taking people to hell with me, and in MMOs im always a melee warrior (Warrior in WoW, Chosen in WAR)

I like being up close and personal, Tanks in RPGs, shotgun in FPS. Partly because it just more of rush, but mostly because it requires next to no actual thought to just sit there and block the enemy. Thinking is for losers.

I go sniper when the option is there, stealth when that option is there. And I always go good, I just can't play as an evil character without feeling guilty for a week.

Even in mass effect? Come on some of the NPCs deserved to be maimed!

I know exactly what you mean. I always feel terrible.
I was playing through the beginning of Fallout 3 and that was the first time that I actually tried to be the evil type of character, I felt like such a dick (especially when I shot everyone from the Vault in the head).

Long-range/Sniper for the most part... of course I do like sneaking up on people and lettin' 'em taste steel too.

I am a bit of a sneaking bastard/ pain in the ass.

I play paintball the same way too.

In RPG's I tend to play the big arse warrior tank (with fallout 3 being the exception, guns=stealth), in shooters I am the sneaky little bastard with a silenced smg.

In regular fps: Sniper/Accurate assault rifle (w/e)
In BF'esque: Medic (because I am a total noob in thoose games)
In Unique Class based: Indirect fire/Short range (eg. demo and pyro because I am a fucking pro in TF2)
In MMORPG's: Self healing tank (eg. dervish/monk in GW, because I am a benevolent protector type of guy).

In RPGs, I'm the wizard. I like playing utility wizards more than blasty ones, where I can control the battlefield, curse or bless at will, and control peoples' brains. In EverQuest, I was a happy enchanter.

In FPSs... well, I don't play them so often, and my aim sucks, so I'm most effective when causing damage over a huge area. I like flamethrowers, grenades, acid grenades, grenade launchers, rocket launchers, spray bottles filled with lye, you get the idea.

I am also, more often than not, the only girl on the battlefield.

In BF'esque: Sniper if Im feeling lazy, engy/at/medic, what ever is needed at other times
In Unique Class based: Pyro XD
In MMORPG's: Ranger/Archer

I hate being shot at in FPS, so sniper is the class I'm happiest with. I can shoot you, and you can't shoot me back. I can't see the problem.

In RPGs, If there's a choice, I'll take the quick character every time. I'll probably go good guy route too. Second time through, most likely same character, but I'll look for the other routes.

in RPG's i always play a middle of the road, jack of all trades type, and in FPS's i change class a lot (although i'm never a heavy and rarely am I a pyro)
