When people think of video games, the norm now is games with 3D graphics such as the Call of Duty games and even the more recent installments of classics like Mario and Sonic. But, back when computers resembled a box and cost as much as a car, we had games with 8-bit and 16-bit "sprites". Yet, down the line games began to become more advanced, not just in technology but also graphics-wise. Which poses the question: which classic game do you believe had the best graphics?
To me, I think Final Fantasy 6 (aka Final Fantasy 3) for the Super Nintendo had some amazing backgrounds and sprites. Even though the characters were super dimensional, it was definitely a long way from the first game. It's also funny to think this was the last game Square made with sprites before they decided to go 3D with 7 and so on.
