Anyways. I love metal music but I can't stand Metallica, or people who think they are the second coming. They're really nothing special, and while I can understand people loving the band which was marketed and more known mainstream than anyother band simply because of that fact, if you simply and objectively listen to their music beside other metal acts they're really not anything special.

ACDC I don't really care for (except the balls song), I don't really like most of the Rolling Stones, Nickelback, Bon Jovi (except living on a prayer), Journey, (I realize that they're from the 80's), uh Jonas Brothers (I know they're not "cool"), ooh, Michael Jackson, Metallica. I really don't like really anything in the way of Hip-hop, R&B, or rap. I like psychedelic rock, alternative and grunge.

I don't care for Muse... I get that they are technically amazing (one of the bands at uni played Knights of Sydonia and it was awesome) but I can't stand his voice and their rabid fanbase. I like a few of their songs but I wouldn't buy their album.

Dragonforce, hands down. Being the much of power metal listener that I am (Blind Guardian and Helloween anyone), it pains me to hear THEM be the mainstream act of the genre. It's all just one song that isn't even good. It hurts so much.

As for me, definitely Gorillaz. How the fuck can anyone call them a rock band? Their poppy retarded music angers me to no tomorrow. If I ever listen to Feel Good, Inc. ever again I need a gun.

This question is based around the fact that I absolutely cannot stand any Red Hot Chilli Pepper songs. I can't stand their music or his voice, despite everyone around me loving them, it's just a fact.
