... oh wait. You're talking about the stuff that gets passed off as "emo" nowadays. Yeah, that stuff sucks. I think it's so amusing that bands that get classified as "emo" have nothing to do with it.

There are no classic-emo haters, because not a lot of people know about it. Ten bucks to the first person who can say they actually know who Christie Front Drive is.

Nonetheless, emo is a completely changed genre, but I still enjoy it.

I don't really get how this relates to my original post, though. It's a simple observation I've made that most gamers that use forums are metal-fans, and on a general level hate emo.

Pretty much every "in" or "cool" band for me. There's a couple songs from one or two of the bands that i actually like, but I can't stand the rest of their stuff (I don't really know the names, I just know it when i hear it). There's a reason I only listen to classic rock on the radio.

MOTHER FUCKIN JONAS BROTHERS!!! Die. Do us a favor. Foo Fighters seriously? They have inspired A LOT of artists, and I mean A LOT. The music is hand written, Dave Grohl (spelling?) is awesome enough to be friends with Josh Homme, and the songs are for the most part all unique from one another. I don't see the problem. Everyone is entitled to their opinion I guess.

Linkin Park.

It would be Nickelback, but they've become such a joke recently that I don't think you can consider them to be cool anymore. Linkin Park is the worst popular band recording today. Even Hannah Montana can make a decent, generically catchy pop song. I honestly respect her as a musician more than I respect Linkin Park.
