Four main fingers, grip the two wings of the controller, for an xbox the indexes will be on the curve at the bottom that starts the trigger section

The first joint section of your thumb, on the LB and RB, the tips on the trigger. The heel/palms on the thumbsticks, and to move around you wiggle your arm.

It's insane, it's also possible.
Are... are his thumbs as long as his entire hand? I mean, I'm trying to picture that... and I can't... not without alien digits. Still, I'd be interested to see it.

So Purna is the Dead island equivalent of Charmander: makes the early game significantly more difficult, but massively overpowered in the end?

The one thing I hate about Logan though is that if you die before you pick up recently thrown weapons they have the nasty habit of not being there anymore when you get back. I've lost a lot of really good stuff to that... if i play through again I'm definitely gonna use Sam B.
Basically, yeah. I'll be calling her that from now on, thanks. ^_^

And yeah, that's what kept me from playing Logan. I don't like the idea of letting my weapons out of my hands, especially if I'm playing with strangers. They might steal them.

I, myself, play Knives Chau. ^_^ (Xian, but that's what I call her.) I'll prolly go with Purna or Sam B next, after my New Game + playthrough with Knives.

Might want to up the wordcount of your post, my newbie friend. Folks don't take too kindly to low content posts around these parts.

Also, welcome to the Escapist... stay out of the basement.

Index fingers.
Unless a situation arrives when I have press R1 and R2 (or L1 and L2) at the same time.
Such situation almost never occurs.

I feel a bit naive for thinking he meant "to point with" when reading the title. Oh well.

Index fingers usually. Unless I feel like mixing it up and using my pinky or a toe.

i started using my middle fingers for call of duty, because i could get mod speed with them, and so now i just use them for all games.

I use my ring fingers for R2/L2, my middle for R1/L1, and my index for face/d-pad. Index supplements thumbs when using analog sticks.

Thanks for the welcome and thanks for the heads up! I'll remember that, my apologies for my ignorance

Thing that worried me about playing Xian is that so many of the sharp weapons are soooo short range. Makes dealing with thugs and such a real pain. I just really hate that the game forced us to make this decision before letting us do any gameplay whatsoever. I'm pretty happy with Logan, he's got a couple talents that upgrade kick and thats all i really need :D

I usually use my index fingers for the Dualshock 3. Unless, of course, a game makes me have to press L1/R1 and L2/R2 at the same time. In which case I either use my index and middle fingers or I rage quit.

I must either be really tired or a child because I chuckled at the title...

Anyways, I use my index finger when I use the Dualshock 3 controller, it feels weird to me to use my middle finger, don't know why.

Depends on the game. In RPGs or action titles with fairly simple controls, I just use my index finger. For racing games when I can't be bothered to set up the steering wheel and pedals, I shift up with my index finger, down with my middle finger.

No apologies needed, my friend. Anytime. ^_^

Well, yeah, most of them are short range, but fast. I can whip out like 4 or five hits in the same amount of time it takes Sam B to swing a sledge hammer, allowing me to dodge more freely. Then there are also longer ranged edged weapons, like axes (which I LOOOOOVE) and scythes. Plus, they're really good for disabling/removing limbs, so if I'm quick, I can turn a zombie into an armless punching bag in a very short amount of time.

I think everyone has their skills and it's that diversity that adds notes of strategy and team-building. ^_^

I just did it with a PS3 controller, I have nothing to take a picture to express it but it's easily possible.

They did a surprisingly good job making the four characters real distinct. I'm still waiting to get a real nice mod for throwing weapons.

Yeah, and I thought their stories were rather well fleshed out, too, unlike most reviewers.

As for throwing weapons mods, I've only got one... and it kinda consumes your weapon in the blast. lol That's why I always keep a few slots open for random throwing knives I find, to turn into sticky-bombs.

I too have small, girly hands and just checked on my Xbox controller. Definitely possible; definitely insane and completely ineffective. But possible, which is the key word.

On topic however, I use my index fingers. It's more comfortable and the bumpers aren't used often enough in any of the games I play to validate switching up what is already programmed into my muscle memory.
