I've always wanted Solid Snake's hair, voice, and athletic build. Ever since I played Sons of Liberty in 2001, my jaw dropped to the floor by how badass Snake was.

I would dress up as Altair from Assassin's Creed, just so I can walk through the streets and people would be terrified of walking in my general direction.
to be fair, if anyone dressed as any video game character and walked down the street, people would be terrified.

But me?
...
I don't remotely look like any videogame characters that come to mind.
That one guy from the Digital Devil Saga is always an option but he's so androgynous it'd be embarrassing for me.

Oh man, ya'll have some amazing ideas like with Altair (Assassin's Creed) or Starkiller (Force Unleashed)...my first thought was Cloud or even Zack (from FF7)

though to be honest the reason why say Altair or a Halo Spartan suit (yeah right for the second, but anything with a mask at the very least) would be preferable because I can hide my face (I guess that's what I get for growing up as a Boba Fett fanatic haha)

This. And though it's not part of the genre in question, if there was one character that I would want to perfectly resemble (in both appearance and wardrobe), it would be the awesome that is Edward Norton as Eisenheim the Illusionist (man on the right).

Alex Mercer because I've already got a hoodie and a jacket in my closet.
This, just 'cause of the simplicity.
Or the Hunter from L4D, seeing as it's literally the same costume, just a little bit more faux blood around the mouth...

I can and have gone to most conventions as a White Mage.
And I'll do it again, dammit!

But if I had the body for it; I'd go as Rydia of Mist from Final Fantasy IV.

A background character from a game taking place in the normal world.

Sooo....

New York Citizen #805 from Prototype

Lois from Left 4 Dead

Stilwater Citizen #629 from Saints Row 2

Rock Fan #08 from Rock Band.

You might say i'm a bit odd, I dress up as one of those video game characters every day.

Raven from Tales of Vesperia. 'Cause what kind of seventeen year old girl wouldn't want to dress up as a 35 year old perverted archer zombie? Plus his outfit is something I'd wear anyway, so I'd save myself the trouble.

I'd dress as a chaos space marine so i can say things that would otherwise get me sent to an insane asylum and it would be in character.

i loved him. i actually dubbed him 'buddy', and greeted him enthusiastically whenever i came across him.

then again i'm nuts. but it's pretty cool you can do the voice. :D

If Kenshin was ever in a game, I'd dress as him. If not, I suppose I'd be Leon Belmont, just because our hair volume and physical build are so similar.

Either the Pyro (TF2) or the Overlord (Overlord). Pyro would be easier to do, so probably him.
actually the pyro is a chick. don't believe me look at the pyros locker in the 2Fort safe room and on the top shelf is a purse its true. to stay on topic probably Gordon Freeman because, well hes awesome even though he doesn't talk.
