Life. That's a game right?

But for real, most recently it's been Dragon Age: Origins. My powers are always recharging at the worst moments, and after half an hour of play, the load times get ridiculous.

Not really a specific game per-say, but the Mann vs Machine mode of Team Fortress 2 really pisses me off far more than it should.

Some of those waves are absolutely ridiculous.

Whichever one I'm playing.

No, seriously. 2/3 of the games I've played have brought on at least one moment of towering, kill-all-the-things rage. The ones that require quick reflexes piss me off most, my reflexes have never been that good.

I almost never get angry at slower, strategic games like Endless Space. I've gotten angry at myself many times playing SpaceChem but never at the game.

Criteon Games, Mainly Burnout and Need for speed. OCD does this.

There is nothing more frustrating than waiting for 20 fucking assholes to move their asses around the screen... and then having to reload and do it all again because one of your dipshit party members decided to use their minigun while one of the other party members(or yourself) was standing in front of them.

skrreeeeeeeeeeee

Resonance of Fate does it to me, too...
Ian tends to do that.

Long Long ago when I was ~13 I used to rage on WoW when my battleground teams were doing bad.

But I really don't rage any more, and I don't play WoW. However every now and then if I die in a single-player game I will ragequit. As a gamer I feel I place a very high value on not dying. When I die in a way I should have been able to avoid, I sometimes decide "the hell with it" and stop playing for a while which technically qualifies as a "ragequit."

The Witcher 2. Adrenalin takedowns. If someone is attacking you while you are performing it you still take goddamn damage. A lot sometimes.

Well most recent for me is Skullgirls. Sometimes I rage after losing several matches in a row. Whether it be going up against someone who completely destroys me, or someone I always end up close to beating, but choke at the last minute.

I would also have trouble pulling specials whenever I start to get frustrated. The commands for the specials are very precise and I often mess up the timing and get myself into trouble.

Needless to say, I get pretty angry whenever stuff like that happens.

And that's why you give Marcus a plasma rifle. It's stronger and the chance of friendly fire is reduced.

But yeah, the bottom of the tanker in Fallout 2 is pretty much my least favorite area in the game. There are way too many enemies down there. X(

Right now? Bioshock: Infinite.

Not because of the game itself, mind you. The game is great, as far as I can tell. But because it causes my flipping video card to bork its display driver every twenty minutes. And I am never going to be able to finish it before some twit spoilers the plot for me!

Though the masochistic addiction has now faded over time, nothing ever made me rage quite like COD multiplayer. Black Ops 1 and MW2 in particular were the cause of quite a few broken peripherals.

Now it's been replaced by this weird zen-like acceptance, or maybe it's just apathy lol.

Thank God, I've been meaning to complain about Battlefield 3 for such a long time now.

The game has aged terribly. Not as in looks or anything like that. Just... a whole myriad of bullshit that people have realized.

You've got your level 100's, who've found this annoying tactic of constantly jumping. It makes them very hard to hit, but I can deal with that. The problem I have with it is that it just looks so God damn stupid. And when one person starts doing it, you get the whole lobby of morons copying them.

Heat seekers, Oh God, the heat seekers. For some reason, they decided to patch them so they lock on faster. It may be a real thing in the actual armed forces, but when a game is concerned, it's not fun. I bought the Premium service back when I enjoyed the game, so I got all the map packs and the Air Superiority game type. Doesn't matter what perks you have on your plane, whether you're using flares or the Chaff equipment. If someone wants to shoot you down with missiles, your gonna get shot down with missiles. It would just be a much more entertaining game if there was no lock on launchers.

I also play on Console, which plays into my next complaint. The Armor is too powerful on Infantry. Also, there's no reason why there should be that many perks on Vehicles. 12 vs 12 being the cap on how many players can play on consoles makes most gametypes with vehicles either very boring, or just plain infuriating. When over half the team can be in armor of some sort, and most infantry classes really can't do anything about it, the game slows to a crawl. When you have a Squad that's communicating, it's possible to tactically hit the tanks at the same time to take them out, but nobody ever plays in a squad with friends, so what's the point?

I'm with ya. Maybe it's because I've "moved on" from CoD, and don't really play much of it anymore. But whenever I hop on those games, it's sort of just "heh, I remember when that would make me mad".

Madden. I have never raged at a game like I've raged at Madden. The horrible AI on both sides of the ball is unbearable. Why, oh god why, is it the only option for NFL gaming?
Oh God yes, I've been playing Madden a lot lately. I'm convinced that it's just random. I've been playing the career mode as a Quarterback, and the offensive line cannot throw a block if their lives depended on it. Last night I lost a game because they let a blitz hit me four times in a row befor I even had a chance to make the 3 steps back and turn to throw. Four. Times. In. A. Row.

And even after (how many Madden games have their been now?), they still haven't managed to figure out a way to smoothly transition between players on Defense, leading to half the times you end up switching to a defender right as you pressed the tackle button, leaving you to look like an idiot he fell down.

Pokemon gets me to rage when a crucial attack misses or a miracle crit occurs or, most of all, when an opponent has an evolved poke under the level needed to evolve it. Lance's under-aged Dragonite's got me really hating the Elite 4.

Dark Souls always causes an incredibly quick rage session after I lose some humanity. If I lose souls, I lose nothing and move on. If I lose humanity, the dent in my wall gets slightly larger and more in the shape of my face.

Probably Street Fighter IV, and Tekken Tag Tournament 2. Street Fighter IV because it features some things that I just hate; namely Ultras and the heavily okizeme-based characters.

As for Tekken Tag Tournament 2, although I feel I have a decent understanding the game, I definitely do not have much experience. Tekken's exponentially more knowledge-based than any other fighting game I can think of, and that's my main gripe with Tekken series in general. The are so many moves/strings which I have yet to be familiar with, so it sucks sometimes to get blown up by some ghetto string mixup.

I actually think these are the only two fighting games to make me rage. Even if on a losing streak in Melty Blood, Guilty Gear or BlazBlue I never rage. I remember going 0-40 and 0-20 in Melty Blood sets when I was new, and I never felt like raging. :S

I recently decided to replay the entire main series of mega man from start to finish, to revisit some childhood favorites and finish the ones I never played. I'm currently on the final Wily stage of MM4.

...oh god... oh god... dive man... dive man.

I don't think I've ever hyperventilated before dive man on the boss rush stage... just... DRRRRRRRRRUUUUUUUUGH.

As much as I'm enjoying the experience I don't think my patience has ever been so tried.

eh, I figure you could just go pop some humanity, put on the gold serpent's ring, and go farm humanity spirits in the chasm of the abyss. I understand the rage of losing 20+ humanity because of a couple small mistakes though...really hits ya hard sometimes.

For my contribution, I would say that the Trial of the gods in the original god of war pissed me off. I could get past nearly every trial, except the one with the undead and the gorgans. I would always fail there for some reason, and i pretty much broke a controller because of it. Of course, this was a couple years ago, so it could be much easier than I remember.

Dark souls doesnt make me rage much, except for when I am pvping against an opponent that is lagging all over the place.

I don't have the DLC so the chasm isn't an option, plus when you're a Chaos Servant with Quelaag's Furysword, humanity is just a higher value. That said, the babies at the end of the Tomb of the Giants and the rats in the depths were slain many a time.

That aside, I can't help but think raging due to lagging to be a universal source of rage, lagging can cause rage no matter the game. It's the ultimate excuse for losing and making a player feel cheated. Although it is sometimes more humorous, than rage inducing, I suppose.
