There was a movie based off the Nicholas Sparks book (just some chick flick). Yeah their names are from it but the themes of the book are war and destruction, love and loneliness, desire and loss, and truth and fiction. Although I don't really like games being made into movies, let's assume this particular movie tunrs out to be really good then...
Fallout.
Not necessarily based on one of the games, but a story set in the Fallout universe, something interesting that hasn't really been looked at in detail.
Other then that, an all out 40K movie that focuses on someone other than than the Space Marines, especially Ultramarines.

I would have to say Bioshck series, mainly because the back story is awesome, and maybe Assassin's creed, again the back-story has depth, but it would definitely have to dial down the action.Ixnay1111 said:

If done right, a Halo movie would be amazing. The first game has a good story arc that stands on its own if only one film was to be made. It would also be a good introduction to those who don't know anything about the Haloverse.

I would say the original crysis but with a parallel story so maybe it follows one of the CIA agent's who is caught up in the whole disaster of it.
Halo again with a parallel story, maybe how they first came in contact, it could have the main character as some low rank (young) marien and some civilians (master chief does not make a good movie character) and the covenant abducted some humans who have to escape from a covenant world and at the same time have to stop the covenant from preparing an invasion and even finding the first halo (perhaps), and nobody has ever heard of aliens yet.
And someone mentioned portal (agan with a parallel story as to keep it open and mysterious) wich with a lot of dedication I think would make for a great movie, amnesia would probaly play a key role in the plot
and if any were made they would have to be at least 150min (2.5 hours) not a really short 90min (1.5 hour) movie. (when I say parralel story I mean with a different character based in the same sort of setting.)

that would be my number 1 choice, as long as they don't try and reference each and every game and cram too much in it will be fine. basing it off of Ocarina of Time of Twilight Princess would be great.Redlin5 said:

I'm going to go with none. Since every game->movie translation sucks pretty hard. In a make believe universe where games and comics aren't torn apart by the Hollywood machine just to turn a buck and actually get the story / characters right, I'd go with Assassins Creed.
