Which games deserve a sequel?

Croc!

It was terrible but it's a shame that only one thing let it down, which was the dodgy controls/camera.
I think there should be a new sequel to the first Croc game (ignoring the existence of Croc 2 here), it should have the same old map system with new islands and possibly some new mechanics.

Battletoads. I would be curious to see what a current gen Battletoads would play/sound like.

This would be an interesting one.
Also, I'd like to see a modern System Shock. I struggled getting 2 to work and think an updated version could be cool.

Depends. The Tony Hawk franchise is now naught but a pile of shit thanks to the horrible sequels it received, but some games have great potential if they are put in the right hands. And I know that the 3rd game in a series is still a sequel; at no point did I deny that.

You're damn right there, all games have always got good potential when put into the right hands, but with EA and other corporate moneymachines running the business that rarely happens. Allthough the rare diamond sequel does show up (timesplitters 3, half life 2, assassins creed 2, the elder scrolls 4, fallout 3 (allthough it's miles away from it's predecessors)).

OT: Spartan: Total Warrior. That was a great game with great ideas. The combat was... awesome, the story wasn't too unbearable and and the combat was awesome.

Not necromancy, just clogging up the forums. It's a good question, it's just the one that everyone arrives at. Being told to "chill out", though, just cause you're new and making unoriginal threads that clog up the forums is even more ridiculousness.

The biggest problem with a thread like this is that they stop other, interesting threads from getting through yet remain popular. Also, I associate them with poor grammar, which is just distasteful. /halfjoke

Freedom Fighers. It ended practically yelling in our faces that there was gonna be a huge sequel.

Freedom Fighters and Battle Realms. FF needs a finish and BR at least needs a spiritual successor type of deal, it was an amazing RTS, and one I still play today, it just kinda feels right, and it gets punishing if you don't mix up your units and tactics a little. I may enjoy C&C but BR made you think, it wasn't just about maxing out, you had to be clever too, not saying C&C and other RTS's are dumb, just saying BR was different... and awesome!

I would like to see a sequal to "Metal Fatigue" with updated graphics and more robot parts. Maybe I am the only one, but I really liked that game. For some reason the graphics gets all messed up when I try to play it with Windows 7.

After playing some PS2 classics last night (Bully, Psychonauts, TimeSplitters: Future Perfect) I started thinking about games that never got any much deserved sequels.

So Escapists, which game series would you like to see continued?

Metal Arms: Glitch in the System, Parasite eve II, The Thing, Stubbs the Zombie, and System Shock II.

That's currently in development as we speak. I can't freaking wait. I think the Resistance series has alot more going for it than Halo ever will, the way the story's told is great and I like how the main character isn't the only focus of the games, especially not after two.
