Which gaming classics do you loathe?

Upon seeing a discussion relating to which fallout (either 1 or 2) was better, i thought to myself, "you know what? I hate both"

Now i may seem to be an unbeliever for disliking such a masterpiece of gaming, but to be honest, i completely hated both of them, however i did like fallout 3 due to the fact that the game mechanics were entirely different....

But anyway, what i'm trying to say is

What apparent "gaming classics" do you think are complete crap, or just can't plain enjoy?

I'm not a great fan of fighting games but I remember when everyone absolutely loved Tekken 3 and I was a bit meh towards it, especially when I'd verse people who supposedly knew the game inside out and seemed to just be button mashing.

I did love a bit of Soulblade though, back in the day.

Oh and I'm sure many would class Devil May Cry as a classic and I didn't get into that a great deal, which annoyingly, I probably would've if it wasn't for the scoring system that I totally didn't get the need of; much prefer God of War.

There are a lot of classic games that I think are only good through the filter of our nostalgia goggles.

Castlevania is a good example. I tried playing it again the other day and it turns out the game is actually just a frustrating mess of unresponsive controls and terrible level design.

The same can be said for Ghosts and Goblins.

I'm Prolly going to be flammed for this but
it is my opinion

I just don't care for the Half-life Saga, I have played them all and I just cant get into them, I dont think they arn't worthy of respect they just dont do it for me

Loathe is a pretty strong word, but I never really got what everyone saw in GoldenEye for the 64. I always thought it was ugly and fiddly and imbalanced and just generally pretty bad.

Agree. I just can't get into it. I've gotten as far as the inside of the statue of liberty but the stealth is just awful.

Street Fighter.....but that's probably because I can't do any moves besides kicking and punching :)

Oh dare I say it?..... Donkey Kong. There I said it. Hate it, always hated it.
Also never "got it" with Halo, I tried liking it oh dear lord I have tried but I just cant.

Pretty much most of the "classics" from the N64, I just don't get it. Zelda and Golden Eye are terrible.

Oh and FF7.

Any of Rare's old "classics"...Goldeneye, Banjo 1 + 2, Perfect Dark.

Maybe you just had to play them back at the time or something...I find the stuff by the new Rare better...Kameo, Viva Pinata, and Nuts and Bolts.

I can understand you not liking them, thats your own opinion, but saying crap like this is the stuff that starts flame wars.
