I love RPG's so much, but i am still weary over which is better of the two.

The elder scrolls is an awsome game its self, it has not redifined the rpg genre, but set a new one for its self.

Dragon Age takes rpgs back to basics and it is such a allround good game.

What do you think is better?
Elder scrolls, they will always be the best RPG's
even back when morrowind came out it was the best RPG.
Dragon age ogrins is a step back, theres nothing new for RPG's in there.
Except good voice acting and story.

The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion is superior to Dragon Age: Origins in so many ways its not even funny.

This sound suspiciously like a vs. thread to me...

I'd say Oblivion just because I love argonians.

Oblivion's *people* bored me to tears. I didn't give a damn if any of them were sucked into the pits of Hell. I couldn't be bothered to finish the game...
Dragon Age's characters are multi-dimentional characters who give a crap about your PC and have enough personality to disagree with you...Love them, each and every one...

DAO is very good but I have to say I enjoyed Oblivion more.
However, they both need to make use of the ps3 custom soundtrack function; in both games, the music starts to get annoying after the 10th hour.

In answer to your question, neither. Never Winter nights 1 for the win!
Even with it's painfully difficult end-game enemies and crappy ending?

Aw crap. Thank you, you just keyed me in on something I completely missed. I don't know why, but I had Dragon Age mixed up with Demon's Soul's. Consider this a contraction for what I said earlier, man I feel stupid.
Doubly so: You should have said 'retraction' not 'contraction'. *Nit pick*

Morrowind>Dragon Age=Shivering Isles>Oblivion.

In that order.

Different Styles of games. You can't really compare them. The may both be set in fantasy worlds but one (TES) focuses on open world gameplay and frantic real-time combat, while the other (DA:O) focuses on story driven plot points and team/turn-based combat.

In my opinion, they're both shining examples their respective styles.

And both kick the pants off Fable.

Bwuuuuuh...
Why ask such a difficult question? You know you're going to get near infinite votes for both games, and then quit counting.

Somehow, looking back, I think I did enjoy myself with oblivion, but for some reason I just can't get myself to think it's a good game. Morrowind, though I didn't play it that long, was awesome... Everything was just so... something.
I'm really enjoying DA:O at the moment, so I vote for that, but probably only because it's the freshest experience for me, not having played Baldur's Gate. I do have NWN, but for some reason I never got any further than the jail in the first city. I guess I just lost track of what I was supposed to be looking for.

Dragon's Age mytho's are drawn out better, however I got sucked into Oblivion way more for some reason :/
I figure the world felt more...alive. And less restrictive, not to say that Dragon Age is restrictive, but Oblivion is far more open to let you do...anything.
So, I'll say The Elder Scrolls IV on this on

DA:O anyday! Oblivion was terrible. It really was. Dragon Age is what Oblivion should have been.

Oh, and OP, you should have made this a poll.

I enjoyed those games for two completely different reasons. Dragon Age is awesome because of the story and the characters (Morrigan ftw!) and the Elderscrolls games are really cool because of all the exploration.

If I had to pick one I'd have to go with Dragon Age because of all the bugs in Oblivion, with that said however I've definitely spent more time playing Oblivion/Morrowind then I have playing Dragon Age.

Erm... Morrowind? :D Gun to my head, I'd probably pick Oblivion.

But imagine what an awesome game it would be if we combined the two and gathered the best of both worlds... *daydreams*

Oblivion and morrowind have always been a fallback for me in times of game drought, the simple limitless potential of what you could do with them especially with mods brought me back and back... story and characters are the usual complaints, but then you hit shivering isles, possibly the greatest adventure i've ever had in a game... Dragonage is good, but seeing as I explore almost every nook and cranny on the way through, once its done its done, theres no real replay value for me.

Elder scrolls , as much as i enjoy playing dragon age getting wiped out within seconds by random dragons (no matter how rare) just isn`t fun and Oblivion is my game of the decade (yes the dialogue was terrible and there were more than a few bugs but i`m still playing the damn thing some three years after i bought it and everytime i pick it up again i find new quests i`d never seen before)
