Actually, it is generally accepted that you 'beat' Pac-Man when you reach the level where the level counter overflows (aka the kill screen). This has been done by several people. But if a game has no defined ending I'd say that you can't count it when you're talking about games that are hard to beat.Broken Wings said:If you had asked "What's the hardest game to beat" I would answer Pac-Man because there is no ending, in the original version. But the hardest game would be Battletoads.
GTA 3 is not hard, honestly. If you need cheats to complete that, you have to work on your gaming skills.arc101 said:Hmmm... Probably battletoads or when i first tried to do GTA III minus cheats.... took me years

Riven is just a lead on from other insanely difficult games like the truly evil 'Zork' series, like when you had to make the man open the trapdoor by drinking with him without getting drunk or shooting him! That made me bash my face on the keyboard for weeks! And it was only meant to be the 1st 5 mins!darthmath said:i did not think that there would be many people out there that would agree with me on this one, let alone many people who have even played in this generation. i have yet to encounter a world as complete and logically organized as the world of riven. it is truly the most immersive and complete virtual world ever created.Le_Lisra said:Riven.
IWBtG and those bullet hell games aren't hard. You just have to memorize patterns.A random person said:I Wanna Be The Guy, if that counts.
Or some crazy Japanese games, like several shooters that make Touhou look tame and some ASCII art platformers I saw.
And rom hacks of games. Some of the Super Mario World ones are just insane.
Tru dat. I can bareley get past the third level.BrotherhoodOfSteel said:Pac-Man. May sound stupid but I just cant get past the 8th level without losing all of my lives.
