TF2 and CoD:4. also waiting for updates to minecraft and terraria.

Gonna test out War inc, downloading it now. (free third person shooter). ok tested now and it was pretty much just shit. well it's ok, controlls are not really good, aiming and stuff is awfull and also there is a lot of rebind bugs.

Seems like a lot of the escapists are playing tf2. o_O
A lot of older games also which is pretty awesome. ^^

Neverwinter Nights Diamond edition. Better than watching streaming reality shows on Netflix with my roommates.

Just started playing Witcher 2 yesterday and after being disappointed with Dragon Age 2 I can honestly say that I think that the Witcher 2 one of the best games I've played in a long while.

It is challenging (something very lacking in most games these days) but it is not cheap. I also think that the writing and the way the dialog is structured sets a new high-bar for video game storytelling.

Went into playing the Witcher 2 without any expectations and I am just blown away.

Left 4 Dead 2, in between sessions of Commandos 2.

Also there are a lot of people who think that "older PC games = better PC games".

This is complete balls and should be disregarded. Fuck that and fuck them.

I'm in the middle of an abusive substance binge with Minecraft, Starcraft 2 and TF2.
Dug myself a pretty deep hole.
But be sure to never dig straight down.

I love exploring the maps in BG1 and the story and plot is great. It has a staggering number of places to explore, little side-stories to experience, strange characters to talk to and weird shit to poke around. There are alot of good low level spells (especially with the mods)

There's a shitload of great mods for BG1. (BGI NPC Project) Just look around Speellhold Studios. Ever heard of the Big World Project ? It's massive

Taking your characters from 0 exp to high levels in the end of BG2 is the full BG experience that no true fan of these d&d video games should miss out on.
Lulz, funny you should say that about bringing people from 0 exp to high levels, because the people I play D&D with (myself included) all seem to like to start campaigns with everyone at least level 5. I guess we're not true D&D players then :p

Baldur's Gate 2 just seemed...bigger. More epic, sweeping across lots of different environments, with the protagonist pursuing something I felt was important. Sort of like another favorite of mine, Arcanum. That's what I love in games, the huge main storyline. Little side-stories and exploration are definitely a plus, but not critical. IMO exploration especially is something best enjoyed with a group of players; doing it alone is sort of dull. If there was BG1 co-op, I'd be all over that, assuming I could convince 5 friends to spend Saturdays playing a video game instead of playing D&D.

I'll give BG1 another try eventually, and I'll look up those mods you mentioned.

well while this is somewhat true it does not mean that newer games are better than older games eighter. : p i'd rather play diablo 2 than torchlight for instance.. (not that torchlight is a bad game, just really grindy..)

I play the odd game of Civ V from time to time. And yesterday I started replaying Quest for Glory V: Dragon's Fire. I want to try and romance Elsa.
