Probably Dragon Age, i actually made a few decisions based on whether or not it would upset the other characters, especially Alistair, used him from the beginning, only guy i actually finished the companion quests for

When you have to choose between him and the other guy (sorry i don't know how to use the spoilers thing) i was really leaning towards the other guy until Alistair got all mad, then i caved, and like, i don't even cave that easy to my daughter

The first game that made me actually care about the characters and what happened to them was definately Final Fantasy VII. I was 9 years old at the time and I think it's left its mark on my childhood... In an awesome way ;)

I cant remember the one were I firsted cared for them but I do know the first one which reduced me to tears because of whats going on, and I think anyone who has played it can agree:

silent hill 2

(dont know how to use spoilers so il just say "spoilers ahead")

it made me cry seeing james have to go through his wifes death repeatedly and in the end it turns out he killed her :'( to end her suffering. although the "fake" one was a real ***** to fight. add pyramid head to the mix (a manifestation of a desire to be punished) and you got emotional hell.

I care a lot for Lyn, Eliwood, Hector and the rest of my units in Fire Emblem.
