I'll take your word that a medieval military "no such thing as arrow-proof armor anymore" longbow would have a 180lb draw, but surely there are longbows with lesser draw weights, for training purposes if nothing else? Also, it IS possible to use a bow to launch screws, albeit with more danger to the archer than to the target. :b

I've been playing Pokemon since Red version. Back when I was eight years old, that game was amazing (it also happened to be my first JRPG). Since then, however, they have released several "generations" that add new Pokemon and new attacks but do absolutely nothing to innovate gameplay.

On top of that, in the 12 or so years since I first played Red Version, I have played and beaten hundreds of more difficult, deeper, and more complex games, including JRPGs.

So, yes, Pokemon games are boring.

Complex usually isn't fun. Pokemon's evolved quite a bit since the original games. Gen II added two new types for balance and split the Special stat, Gen III added double battles and revamped the stats system, Gen IV made both physical and special attacks of the same type, making many Pokemon actually useful for once.

Plus, new moves like Trick Room (temporarily makes slow Pokemon attack first) and Stealth Rock (normally does 12.5% damage to Pokemon switching in, but it'll halve a Charizard's health because of Rock's strength vs Fire and Flying...) have also changed gameplay a lot.

I sound like such a basement-dweller right now. I don't even play "competitively". But it's fun, and I do enjoy it, even if Game Freak's starting to run a bit short of ideas.

I found Metroid Prime Hunters for the DS in a pile of folding chairs at school three years ago. No one claimed it so I got to keep it.

Free isn't a bad price for a sub-par Metroid I guess.
