I mean, going off of the theories I have see, either the kid was caught stealing, or the Chinese men just felt like being jerks.
My money is on kid was caught stealing, because the loss of one's hands is typically the old 'eye for an eye' rule and many people in the world still go by it. Most people attack the body for teh lulz while they attack specific parts of the body for a purpose.
But that is just my initial guess and I still reserve judgement for more information provided.

Why the hell is it any of our business? yeah, it's horrible, what about the thousands of children who starv, or die in mining accidents every day in other countries. It's not the same world in other countries. There's different culture, different problems, a completely different situation that we can't understand and have no real business commenting on.
What is that nonsense? Cruelty is cruelty! It doesn't obey borders or cultures, crushing a child's hand and kicking him in the head isn't acceptable, and saying "it's a cultural thing" is by no means an acceptable argument. And this isn't even some long-lost culture we're talking about here. See the scooter, the umbrella, the leather jackets? Hear the sirens and car horns? As far as I can tell, they went to rob this guy of some motorbikes he either owned or was selling as a vendor. No dialogue in the video actually confirms the case, but the guy wanted his property back.
He lets him know that he wants to know the location of his accomplices (who apparently were successful in their theft) and he lets him know that he's a thief and that people get killed here for stealing. He tells him that he should get beaten to death. He definitely makes the threat."
Something from the forum over there. General speculation of what might have happened. Makes some sense considering the crowed seems to be on there side.

Race isn't a big deal. Its a defining factor when looking at someone. You look at someone whose black, one of the first things your going to notice is his skin.
Its called Racialism. Racialism is the belief that all races should be acknowledged and put into racial categories. Most Racialists reject any form of racial superiority, in any form. Although it is important to add, that they tend to point out when one race acts morally inferior/superior to an other.
Such in this case, where we have a group of Chinese males kicking a small white child. I'd say they're acting morally inferior.
I don't hold White people in higher regard. In fact, I'm very ashamed of my people. If there is one race that has done more damage to anyone else, its in fact, White people. I believe Andrew Jackson Jihad put it best when they said, "First they take the land! Then they take the soil! And with their bloody hands, they dig for oil."
So no, this isn't a grab for attention. This a "Holy fuck, these grown adults are beating up a small child." Race is important to note, not because anyone is racially inferior, but because its a factor in everyday life. Its not something to be ignored. Its something to be embraced.
If you think I'm at fault here, you may also want to contact your school board or the SATs for making you fill in the bubble that tells them what race you are.
