Well, Irish is a rather large stereotype. It encompasses two different types of people.

But, generally, there are two kinds.

Stereotyping a group is fine, stereotypes exist because they are largely true of the majority of people within that group. Expecting or assuming any single person to meet the stereotype is bigotry and completely unacceptable. People are individuals, and everyone is unique.
