sorry if this has already been done but I haven't seen it yet, I'm having a tough time picking who to run in this game and I thought lets ask the people who and why they are picking their char. so please let me know who do you feel is the best for a first play through and why because I'm stuck on who want to you.

I myself was down to maya and axton but all of them seem appealing in different ways only reason I don't like zer0 is because I feel like he is going to be squishy a bit and Salvador to me seems like brick who I didn't like at all in the first one but who knows I may be wrong but do you think maya will be good late game since a lot of bosses and bigger creators will be elemental resisten of different kinds and it seems she relays on elements quite a bit

It's funny, when you REALLY look into things Zer0 doesn't look that bad. First of all, obtaining the fabled "299x melee attack" is next to impossible. That figure factors in all of Zer0's perks (which are next to impossible to get all active at the same time, in addition to the following), and also the damage multiplier of Deception, which is unique. You see, the longer Zer0 stays cloaked, the larger his attack power gets. However, he can only get one attack before becoming visible again. However, waiting to attack while cloaked is balanced, as the longer you stay cloaked, the longer you have to wait until you can cloak again.

Yeah, there are some deceiving figures, and master players will be able to get the fabled 299x melee attack, but only in specific scenarios.

do you think zer0 is going to have lower health then most I mean the hunter had good health but to me I just fear that vs higher level bosses they are just going to smack him around and even though he will put out the most damage may rely heavily on others at that point

I plan to use Maya for my first Co-Op character (pairing it with an action skill focused Salvador), focusing on high elemental damage with some healing capabilities.

For my first solo character I'll be playing Zer0, with a focus on making Shotguns overpowered as all hell.

I'm going to make Zero my solo character, investing into the sniping skill tree mainly stacking crit damage.

And then for co-op I'm going Axton as a support. Dual turrets that each create a shield that also shoot rocket pods, it's going to be magical.

Well, all of them will get one first playthrough, then I'll decide who to use from there. =)

I'm going with Axton for my co-op playthrough with my friend. He'll be focusing on sniping as Zer0 so my two turrets with Longbow and shielding capabilities will be an asset to us. Meanwhile, I'll be putting most of my points in the Survival tree so I'll be running around with my assault rifle shooting anything that moves.

I'm going with either Salvador or Maya. I'd like to give Zer0 a try, but I get the feeling that he's going to be overused as hell, and I'd rather not have an entire team using the same guy.

yeah that's true zer0 will be overused i think i may go with axton the longbow turret is going to be epic i'm going to look into maya though and see if the siren is still crazy

I only really bought the game for the Mechromancer, so whoever I choose will only be to waste time with.

I'm going to play the least used class aside from Gunzerker. Sorry, but I just can't bring myself to play a dude with stubby little legs. So it'll probably end up being Axton.

I will be playing as Axton. He seems good for a first character because he has some good basic and useful skills.

The turret is a good distraction and unlike the Scorpion, the Sabre looks like it could actually kill something without dumping 20 skill points into it. He can increase health, shield capacity, two skills that increase reload speed and shield recharge delay, gun damage, and Metal Storm which turns an smg into a minigun and a rocket launcher into an M.L.R.S.

At one point I was on the fence on who to choose. I can't remember why.
