This is a first for me, joining a forum, so i decided to introduce myself. No really, I'm not the kind of guy that goes on forums. I kinda jump in recently and decide, well let have fun.

My real name is Joel.... hate that as all hell. I mean, can there be worst. It more often use for girl so just imagine the surprise when people that doesn't know me call. I'm a artist... or a ancient student in Art. Left the course for bad grade. Here ( Quebec - Canada ) there a punishment system for failure in college. Your expelled for a semester if you fail 2 semester and a third one get you a years. After being expel for a year, i decided to try and earn cash before going back. Since i jump from job to job right now, that not going to happen soon. No! I my drawing aren't bad. I don't have a car and needed to take a 3 hours bus ride to get there. That really cut in your sleep and Homework time in half. Beside, the doodling i made in class got the attentions of all my classmate. They say i had a future in Comic book. Also, i have a weakness for uninteresting people. I think i sleep most of my highschool years.

I played game for pretty much all my life, which is easy when your born in 1985. I'm also the only one I know that have beaten BACK TO THE FUTURE on the NES which is rare. That also mean I'm fairly above average when it come to game. I owned most of the console at some point but
now can officially call myself a Sony Fanboy. Tried Xbox... can't remember where the buttons are. I got the reflex down for a Playstation controller, so why change a winning combination.

I Love horror. Before, i was a pansy, being scared of everything. Now, i crave it. Being a fan since Resident Evil 2(BEST GAME EVER!!!!), I love zombie and really know alot about them. Resident Evil never got back after this. I'm on the minority, but RE4 isn't zombies. If they don't moan, you remove 50% scariness off of them. I loved entering rooms in RE2 and hearing a bunch of zombie from right around the corner. I also read the ZOMBIE SURVIVAL GUIDE.

Ok, here is were the flame will start. I'm a French Canadian. As many North Americans knows, we are descendant from the French that landed here in 1500. We fought, we lost. The continent is now mostly English. What we get the most sh*t is because we want to separate for Canada. Why, because we aren't really represented in ours government. Which mean, they don't care and so are we. But I'm not one of those. I feel it would be like stitching Cuba to the USA, or for the other one, a pretty dumb move. We get also sh*t because were French... To that, i answers this. We are the descendant of Montcalm, the guy that said to a overwhelming number of English mans this when asked for surrendering: I WILL ANSWER YOU WITH THE MOUTH OF MY CANONS! It translated but if you update this a bit, it would be: THIS IS MY BOOMSTICK AND YOU WILL S*CK ON IT! Who can say that not badass? Also, i can speak and write English, but is a secondary language. You can point mistake, but don't be jerk about it. I'm not looking for the English grammar Nazis.

I don't believe in god. I find people cursing the god(s) while they don't care to find answers to their problem around them. That amuse me. I talked to a 350lb diabetic man that believe in religion. He asked for health to god because if he don't sleep on the side, he can't breathe. But he's too shy to get a Gym membership card. Go figure!

I love music, an most of the time when i get bored, i listen to some while gaming. For example, Fallout 3. I can't go around the Wasteland without something, other then the radio frequency, playing in my ears. Hell, I'm trying to get all the plane on ACE COMBAT X while listening to Yahtzee. It harder than you think, i got to pause the game every 3 min to switch video. Last time, i was trying to evade missiles by plunging down when the video ended. Pause the game, switch video again, return to my game.... and hit a submarine. What an Ace, hen? I love 90 rock, alternative rock, Rock and Heavy Metal. Hey, if you leave subjection that would be great. I also really like Linkin Park. They stick in my MP3, CD-Players and now PSP for a solid 9 years. But that last albums was... a bit too emo for my taste.

No, not really. If all, it a way to get easy achievement while meeting people who i would love to talk to. Death Squads? Why? Oh no, not at all. People seem to find it funny to poke fun at the "knowsall" part of my username, but it's not like the username has any real significance. It's just the punchline of an odd joke from my childhood. It's not an egotistical declaration of my own intelligence or anything.

I'm going to follow Zeithri's example and post an obscenely long spiel, because, although I do have something better to do, that "better thing" is not entirely desirable.

Well, I'd better get started. The name's Nick, known online as StarWrecker or Violet_Shift or one of the above with a pack of numbers tacked onto the end. I'm a science nerd, and very, very much so. I've been obsessed with science since a very young age, and this has stayed with me. I have my Bachelor's degree in Physics and I'm continuing to study that at the postgraduate level - in fact I'm writing this when I'd be better off studying for my Plasma Physics paper. I don't actually like Mathematics at all; in fact I see it as nothing but a useful tool, the study of which bores me to the end of my existence.

I can simpathise with you. The reason why i failed Art class is that the first two semesters is base on Abstract Art.

Well i can't. I also made myself the teacher's bane. Why? I had to do 3 hours of bus (no joke) to get to class except in the morning with a special Express bus. That morning, i tried to do homework as fast as I could (it was doing a Art piece with only lines) and ended up finishing up on the bus. For anyone that don't know, ours road are made from the cheapest, fragile material ever known to man. So getting somewhere is always a bumpy ride. When i showed him my homework, he trash the one i made home and started praising those in the bus. I call him on it, and the class laugh at his ass.

I don't actually like computers that much, considering that I'm a science nerd. I did take computer science as a minor at University, and I do know a lot about them, but I tend to just use them for gaming, the escapism that I enjoy so much. Games-wise, I like any genre, so long as it has a good story to go along with it, which makes me naturally gravitate towards RPGs, and some exceptional examples of FPS and RTS games. Personal favourite games include Deus Ex, World In Conflict, and Dragon Age (which took me a whopping 444 hours to finish my first playthrough).

We got pretty much the same taste in videogame. I love a good story and that's why i hate most open world game. RPG wise, i own a copy of Xenogears, All FF on psx and Crono Trigger. (Didn't care much for the second one)

Although I am a scientist, I greatly enjoy art (games being one example) and the other passion of my life is writing - I enjoy building worlds and telling stories. I write science fiction and fantasy, and have completed two novels so far. I've never got published yet, and I fear I'll wind up stuck at 99%, never thinking my work's good enough. From my writing came my very amateur interest in art, simply because I wanted to depict my characters (although I have drawn airplanes and spaceships from a young age and I am much better at that).

If you shoot me a Rar or a Zip format of your unpublish novel, i'll love to read it. Also, my focus for going in art was because i always wanted to do Comic or Animations. I'm the man with a thousand stories.

I'm not religious. Never have been. I don't understand why people believe in such things, and it's probably simply because my parents aren't religious either than that wasn't much of a factor in my upbringing. I do think a lot about philosophy, but there's little that could ever convince me that we don't live in a cold, uncaring universe. Bleak, I know, but, I can't see it any other way.

The thing about the universe that I learn the hard way: It's isn't about what the universe care about, but what you care about.

I like to think I'm a nice person - although I do have an exceptionally low view of humanity as a whole, I like to think the people I meet are better than the average and that everyone deserves a chance. I try not to be a racist/sexist/homophobe/transphobe/xenophobe/jerk at all, and I like having friends who are as diverse as possible.

I can't... not totaly. I like black people and homophobe, ect. The problem is that there will always be as small shiver going through my spine when i see one. I live with i but I don't kid myself. If you aren't like that, your more tolerant than me. I do make effort to ignore those shiver the best i can tho.

So... err... yeah. Maybe I'll learn to post more here later. I like this place.
