Just a 14 year old kid that live in Northern Ireland. My family are mostly engineers either in the army or not and I'll probably be a combat engineer when I'm old enough.

Hey, so the army. I once envision enrolling but my sight is so bad that i couldn't make out my friend from my enemies. That's my major flaw. Otherwise, i would be a fighter pilot... With what we have for fighter jet here.

Cynical mean being Cynic and that mean being overly mean. I do it sometime to people i don't like. Like the time i commented on a thread and was call out by a geel saying i'm a retard and explaining nothing. No, he really tried to explain but it didn't answer anything. So i took his explanation and said: "Wooo! Your making so much sense i started tripping! Whoo! Do you see the butterfly? They are awesome. See ya, I got to watch my hand grow." That's what i call cynical.
Quotes:
"Cynicism is an unpleasant way of saying the truth."
- Lillian Hellman

"A cynic is a man who, when he smells flowers, looks around for a coffin."
- H. L. Mencken

"Cynicism is not realistic and tough. It's unrealistic and kind of cowardly because it means you don't have to try."
- Peggy Noonan

"Cynics regarded everybody as equally corrupt... Idealists regarded everybody as equally corrupt, except themselves."
- Robert Anton Wilson

"A cynic is not merely one who reads bitter lessons from the past, he is one who is prematurely disappointed in the future."
- Sidney J. Harris
Aka... STFU Akalistos. I guess i mistook the word for something else. Basically, you could have said a pessimist and i would have understand (no need to show the difference but it's the closest word i can use)

If you want to read about it.
It magic base on belief? What the difference between that and praying?
Doesn't help if you take it out of context;
Chaos magic claims that belief can be an active magical force. It emphasizes flexibility of belief and the ability to consciously choose one's beliefs, hoping to apply belief as a tool rather than seeing it as a relatively unchanging part of one's personality.
Various psychological techniques are employed in order to induce flexibility of belief.
Other chaos magicians suggest that people need no "belief" to work magic.
That should clear things up more ?_?
I read it (Is Read the past tense? When spoken, it's more like Red.) and that's the vibe i got. I could sum up each phrase and rewrote them so you can understand my chain of thought. But, when you "use" belief as a tool to make magic so it can work. And that whatever you wish, while performing the ceremony, will happen seem to close to religion to me. I believe that actions worth more than word and that the sword will always be mightier than the quills. If i were (an example from another Poll thread) To impregnate a 16 kid. I can believe that the child would go aways, but I feel that what I really need to do is come out clean and Marry the girl... (this is creepy (since I'm almost 25) but this is a Black / White situation to illustrate my point.) Belief won't cure the girl but i can make sure that the kid got a dad at least.

One people can't really push all his enemies at the same time. Even a well intentional and dedicated will be face by opposition and rebelling by people that want power. It's in our nature.
If you wish to speak about the human Nature, then I'd counter with that our nature isn't at all very accurate as to what some would want to believe. Our nature isn't at all to crush the leaders and destroy ourselves, our nature is that of tribal people if anything. We have long since left that life (Most of us at least) for better or worse.

Rest assured, our nature of destorying each other was firmly placed when we started to permanently settle down and create cities.

That I truely believe.

If you've ever seen Gundam Seed Destiny,, It could had been an awesome Gundam show but it ended up around mediocre and downwards, but I did love Chairman Durandal's DESTINY plan.

A humanitarian dictatorship can work, but it'll not be easy.
While I'm a advocate of the Original Sin philosophy, I don't say that destroying ourself is all that were good at and we all crave for power. Human are basically animal. If you look at the animal kingdom, you will see that we are close to them. It's not the other way around. We discovered that for millennium, chimp have developed an exchange system where female can exchange sex for certain good. Don't we do that? Yeah, that's what we call prostitution. The wolf (i love those beast.) are known to work in pack... but do you know that if one pack who is struggling with a beast (ex: a buffalo or something like that) and another pack come by and see this, they will lend a hand? They also share the spoil between the group and separate. In normal condition, they would have jump on one another. What i said is that were like evolved beast, but beast nonetheless. And when a cub think that he can take the Alpha male, he will challenge it and, if he win, will take his place. That the nature of thing. I can't find anything to disprove myself. It's even happen to me. There was a mount of snow that was resisting the heat of spring. One day, a 6 grade elementary student (12 year old at least) started pushing me and my buddies from 3 grade. I sneaked like Snake in MGS 3. Crawling along the the hill until he saw me.... AND I PUNCH HIM IN THE NUTS. Why? Because i could. I won, and that guy felt head first on a block of ice. He was Knock but still conscious and forfeit the game.

Nice song, i keep replaying it. But i stopped watching anime a few years ago. The last thing i saw was WELCOME TO THE NHK and that was a wake up call for a loner like myself.

But you're still on the wrong track since a cynic isn't necessarily a pessimist.
The pessimist is pissy because it experiances it's world to be crap.
The cynic is pissy because it knows that everything is crap.

There is a thin line but there is one.
I know, that why i said i don't need to show the difference. But, your asking a Frenchmen to find a synonym of cynical. That's the best I've got.

I'd say that parents are overrated just as the orphan would say that lonliness is overrated.
What I was trying to point out was that it isn't necessary to use belief, but if you have one it can be used to strenghten it.
No, parents aren't overrated if you'll have some interaction with kids todays. A fourteen year old girl said she wanted to open a prostitute ring... her mom don't want to fight with her because she prefer having HER peace than protection her daughter from herself. That was 3 years ago.

As for believe, you have to got some. It's a way to push yourself to your dream. Even if you say that you don't need it (Other chaos magicians suggest that people need no "belief" to work magic.) but that's substituting believe (in magic if not in your belief) to achieve something. The best example is that guy that was 350 / 380 lb, who was so fat that couldn't sleep without respiratory help. He prayed to god, but when i said that he should buy a gym membership and a nutritionist, he said he's too shy. He don't want to enter the gym because he think everyone will laugh. Belief that everything will be allright may KILL HIM. That's why i said that believe will never substitute for cold hard work.

I'm not telling you not to do it... You do what you want. But that's what i think about it.

Never heard of this "Original Sin" thingy, but I know very well how animals work and stuff like that and that humans are really nothing but the animals who evolved the smartest brain so to say. So I understand and agree partially.
Original Sin is a school of thought that say that human are born evil. We most work hard to be upstanding person. Those who follow their instinct will aways do evil. The name is derive from the bible in which god curse humanity because they eat the forbidden fruit. When you take that in context that we have to work to leave our animalistic instinct behind to live in society... You can understand that these two touch though cross themselves at some point.

Aah, Wolves, magnificent animals <3 Used to have a Wolf - Hybrid one time. He howled very pretty.
And clumsy he was as well :3 Had to pass him on in the circle of life due to him developing an eye-sickness that lead to blindness.
Not that it really stopped him from running in fullspeed into stuff ?_?

Ah, you meant that.
I plan on commercialize my fantasy world once "Everything's done" so to say.
So? You don't want to talk about it? Here one of mine than... i wanted to make a Comic about Ragnarök... but instead being about Thor (the supposed victor) but from Fenrir's perspective. If you don't know:
Fenrir: Second son of Loki. He is portrait as an Enormous Wolf. The god, fearful of his enormous strength, played on his ego and try to trap him with the strongest chain but fail. The second try, they did it with a magic silk ribbon. It worked and he was trapped until he release himself during Ragnarök (i planed to make a Werewolf out of him with giant metal cuff on his wrist and a scarf (magic ribbon) )

Who, who, who, who?
Who are you?
Who, who, who, who?
Who are you?
Who, who, who, who?
Who are you?
Who, who, who, who?

I woke up in a Soho doorway
A policeman knew my name
He said "You can go sleep at home tonight
If you can get up and walk away"

I staggered back to the underground
And the breeze blew back my hair
I remember throwin' punches around
And preachin' from my chair

chorus:
Well, who are you? (Who are you? Who, who, who, who?)
I really wanna know (Who are you? Who, who, who, who?)
Tell me, who are you? (Who are you? Who, who, who, who?)
'Cause I really wanna know (Who are you? Who, who, who, who?)

I took the tube back out of town
Back to the Rollin' Pin
I felt a little like a dying clown
With a streak of Rin Tin Tin

I stretched back and I hiccupped
And looked back on my busy day
Eleven hours in the Tin Pan
God, there's got to be another way

Who are you?
Ooh wa ooh wa ooh wa ooh wa ...

Who are you?
Who, who, who, who?
Who are you?
Who, who, who, who?
Who are you?
Who, who, who, who?
Who are you?
Who, who, who, who?

(chorus)

I know there's a place you walked
Where love falls from the trees
My heart is like a broken cup
I only feel right on my knees

I spit out like a sewer hole
Yet still recieve your kiss
How can I measure up to anyone now
After such a love as this?

(chorus)

I'd want to say that you're simplifying it.
Instead of speaking about it as 1 2 3, you only speak about it as 010. Either you have a belief even if it is magic, or you have no belief. While they are refering to religious beliefs in that context.

The rule of thumb is this;
If you don't believe magic will work, it won't work.
If you believe it will work, it will work.
Which is what i said. What I'm trying to tell you is that the basis for a religion is Faith. You have to BELIEVE which is why i drew the parallel. Maybe I'm simplifying it, but if you remove the fat around the article, we came to this. I know i can't change your mind but don't show me an apple and force me to call it a Orange. Like i said, if that's your cup of tea, do it.
Zeithri said:

I won't. I never argue on who's right and who's wrong base on point of view. There's no wrong point of view. If I do argue with point, it's to make you see it my way and not to make you change your mind. That said, you won't be able to change myself either. I'm more stubborn that you can possibly imagine.

No, I don't-
When the time comes, I do want to share it. But not right now.
Too paranoid that people will just attempt to steal it so I only share it with those I can trust.
I suppose that is my own weakness when it comes to all my game ideas and such, that I suspect everyone of wanting to steal them if I share them, only to ruin them and release horrible sequals that suck !_!

But there is one thing I can share right now about it since I already shared it openly on facebook (Which none of my friends replied too.. -_-''), and that is this;

[ ... ]

And no need to re-educate me about Mythology.
I am pretty wellversed in the subject.

I have no idea what to think.
It just feels not fleshed out enough, just more like a guideline.
OK, but your fear isn't rational. You'll have to share it at some point and if you don't make the full game yourself, your superior will change the story anyways. You don't start climbing a ladder from the top. You won't be a Project Director from the get-go. As for I, I have also a slight fear of telling stories but i know that good epic didn't get written by one man. Harry Potter and big series like that as a bunch of Ghost Writer on staff. They don't get mentions and the "Author" take the best of everyone and put in the book base on the guideline he or she gave them.

You can see that i was pretty much influenced by the 90e. Basically: Spider-Man 2099 - Transformer Beast Wars - X-Men, ect. Which is what gave that story. I got to say that if you don't want to talk about it, Nobody can give you pointer. Did you know that if it wasn't for actors input and family, the Star Wars Sequel (it pain me to say Sequel.) It would have been bad and weird. In fact, on numerous occasion, they call Lucas a damn fool? Most of the epic that's in there isn't attributed to Lucas? Sometime, you like your story so much that you can't see it isn't very good. That's why i dropped that one.

If you want my input. MESSAGE ME AND NOBODY BUT ME WILL READ IT. Not like this one where anyone can just waltz in here an take a look.

See you later Lady.
