Well, the only outlet I really use for "serious" games reviews on a regular basis is Edge Magazine and I find their reviews to be trustworthy, for the most part. Though oddly enough, they have rated two of my favourite games only 5/10 (namely Mirrors Edge and Dragon Age : Origins) but other than that, I find them to be mostly spot on.

Due to the fact that i mainly rent games, I find myself not having to worry about getting a BAD game, because if it's bad I can just return it, but I don't really listen to Reviews, but I like to hear what people think about it. As for "Reviewers" I trust, I mainly listen to the guys at Penny Arcade.

If you "trust" Yahtzee, you must have a very small collection.
ah i said if i get the IMPRESSION that he likes a game.. not if he says its good.. assasins creed and oblivion etc fall into that catagory.. know what i mean?
Wouldn't it much longer however to have to analyze the ambiguous feelings of a review aimed as cynicism?

I dont try to analyze anything anybody says to me, I try not to overthink things. Yahtzee tends to be spot on about most games... its funny cause its true is how zp works imo.

The wonderful people who post here [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/forums/index/326-User-Reviews] and my own feeling on the game.

That said, I will listen to OXM at times, or use it to get an over-view of the game I want to buy in question.
wow! good link wish id known about that place sooner ;D

Giant Bomb. Quick looks are the single greatest piece of game coverage on the internet. 20-30 minutes of uncut gameplay complete with commentary. It's fantastic.

I trust only Yahtzee since he's the only reviewer that I still watch.

I used to also watch Zeitgeist, but in my opinion he's terrible since he cares to much about graphics, instead of breaking down the game mechanics and game-play like Yahtzee.

I'm somewhat doubtful of that personally since I have found that Yahtzee has over analyzed some games, resulting in misjudgments.

I trust an old ex-programmer and a misanthropic Asian chick I know to reliably say honest things about games. I cannot stand those "professional" reviewers.

It's usually word of mouth for me. If I hear something about a game I usually check it out from their I make my own opinion.

I trust MovieBob, The Escapist reviews, Zero Punctuation I suppose, but I know Yahtzee Crowshaw's reviews won't be objective.
