Who did you always catch in Pokemon?

I only ever used the first pokemon you get.

I was terrible at that game. I never beat it because of my shitty 5 year old strategy.

The only reason I got halfway through the final boss tournament was because of that thing were you can link your gameboys together, and a kid let me use his Arcturo.

Ghost Pokemon, mainly Ghastly, since Ghastly, Hunter and Gengar all kick ass.

Machop so i would eventually get a Machamp. Four arms were just way too badass. Since Ruby/Saphire ive had a thing for Haryiama though.

Tentacruel. It kicks a ton of arse. It has to be male though. Female Tentacruels always felt weird, almost as odd as a female Mr. Mime.

Start with Charmander
Catch Pidgey and raise it until it Evolves into Pidgeot then never use it again when I get Articuno
Catch an Abra and evolve him all the way to Alakazam, use until I catch Mewtwo.
Buy Magikarp from the guy before Mt Moon, evolve painstakingly into Gyarados before Cerulean gym.
Pikachu from Viridian, Evolve into Raichu once it learns Thunder.
Finally, have a squad filler until I come across Snorlax. Job done.

That was it for me in the first set of games. Sandslash was my absolute favorite back then.

as fanboyish as it may seem, i always use the eevee-lutions. now that we are at the point in the generations where we have eight members in the eevee family, im always torn as to which two to leave in the box...

Always have to get a Golduck and a Spearow, then level him to lvl.70 before evolving him to Fearow, since Fearow is my favorite flying pokemon

I pretty much always end up catching Geodude. On pretty much every game.

I always have the same 18 pokemon since Pearl that made up my three teams.

Team 1: Vaporeon, Typhlosion, Lucario, Venasaur, Weavile, and Dragonite

Team 2: Empoleon, Flygon, Umbreon, Blaziken, Roserade, Staraptor

Replacements: Gardevoir, Metagross, Flareon, Honchkrow, Amphorus, and a second venasaur that plays differently from my Team 1 Venasaur.

So if I could, i always caught the pre evolved form of those pokemon.
