Toth from Raiders of the Lost Ark, that guy barely has any lines (15 in total I think) but everytime he appears on screen, you can almost taste his foul sadism.

Ser Gregor Clegane. Hands down.
Ehhhhh, The Mountain-Who-Rides is just an animal. I say Joffrey is about 20x more evil.
I agree, though, that Cersei isn't as evil as Gregor, because Cersei is suicidally stupid and/or insane.

Has anyone here heard Mephisto's voice in Diablo II? Sounds liike he's been working on that voice for centuries, probably has going by context.

I think pretty much any appearance of Hannibal Lecter could be nominated here as well, it's just that liver with a nice chianti line that tops it off for me.

I always think of the emperor palpatine if I think about evil. Extremely manipulative and charismatic, yet once he has won he becomes the vile ugly soul he always was on the inside. Patient and cunning. Willing to do literally everything it takes, killing and destroying absolutely everything that he needs to or gets in his way to achieve absolute control of a galaxy. He never shows any compasion, doesn't show prove of any kind of love or care.

to me he is the embodyment of evil

The face of pure fucking evil.

He turns young girls into magical girls and grants them one wish, only to have them turn into monsters after causing them pain and emotional scarring.

He turns them into magical girls by tearing their souls from their bodies and putting it into a container, basically making them zombies.

He's incapable of emotions, seeing them as a disease, and does not understand human standards.

He believes he's doing good, and saving the universe of entropy, when really he's just being a massive prick.

He constantly pushes a girl into making a contract with him.

He's unkillable. When one dies, another takes it's place, and eats the corpse of the old one!

Just...look at him

He/She sounds awesome... what is his/her name? Or its name?
Kyubey from Puella Magi Madoka Magica.

Dolores Umbridge (Harry Potter)
This is a great choice. Someone once pointed out to me that she was a fantastic villain because, while very few people (if anyone) know anyone as chaotic evil as Voldemort, we ALL know an Umbridge or two.

Incidentally, Imelda Staunton has said that little kids yell at her on the street now because of that role. :)

It's because he talking a religion in a flippant and immature fashion. If he wanted to share his opinions like a mature adult, than he is welcome to. Simply put, his comment broke the several rules.

Darth Malak! He destroyed Taris and Telos :( I love him though. After all he has no jaw and he's really tall.

Pinkie Pie from the Cupcakes fanfiction.

I normally stay away from fanfiction (for obvious reasons), but this one was so notorious that I had to give it a look.

Big mistake.

So, yeah. Cupcakes Pinkie Pie.

*shudder*
That fan dub gave me nightmares ._. horrible, horrible nightmares, my bed was soaked from what I hope was sweat
The worst part about that fanfic is that it's not a huge stretch of the imagination to imagine Pinkie Pie simply...snapping and doing that. Particularly after the 'Party of One' episode.

OT: Colonel Hans Lada, aka 'The Jew Hunter' from Inglourious Basterds. Managed to capture the chilling juxtaposition of a man cheerfully going about the work he enjoys with that of someone systematically hunting and killing innocent people. The scene at the start in the French farmhouse was a perfect summation of his character; charming, then a conversation in French to get the farmer to betray his neighbours, and then a cheerful farewell just before the slaughter, as if he hadn't just condemned an entire family to death.

I have a few...

Dolores Umbridge (Harry Potter): she's WORSE than Voldemort. she embodies everything wrong with human nature (much like Stan Lee's intentions for J. Jonah Jameson); she's bigoted, she's sadistic, she's racist, she's just pure evil. there's cool villains who are totally bad dudes, but you still like them. villains like Darth Vader or Scar. then, there's villains like THIS. villians so DESPICABLE, that you don't even love to hate them, you just HATE THEM. to me, THIS is a good villain.

I love me a good villain, but I personally think the best villains are the ones who strike a nerve with the audience.
This.

To make it worse, she never got her comeuppance. She did worse than murder others, she destroyed souls and took pleasure in doing it.

The Inglorious Basterds. Seriously, you can't tell me these guys aren't a raw incarnation of evil. They don't even have the decency to be clever or have reasons to be so inhumanly evil. I love villains, and I respect some villains who do much worse than the Basterds, but the difference is that the Basterds have no real reasons to be evil, they just are. Onto a less agonizing note, my choice for most evil villain is Count Waltz from Eternal Sonata. The man's not only clever about being so sinister, he's also very motivated and cruel.

Darth Malgus ranks pretty high up in my book:

Planned genocide of entire Coruscant, spanning billions of innocent people...
...all out of a Survival of the fittest-like dogma that Force is perfected through war
