not sure what you mean by that... Conan O'Brien I'm not so sure, I think he made it on his quirkiness but Jon Stewart is really bright and even though his humor is diminishing I still watch The Daily Show and The Colbert Report every day (he produces both)Cptn_Squishy said:Conan OBrien and Jon Stewart...these are two guys who have absolutely been through the wringer.
Conan OBrien started off as the first person in over 100 years to be the editor-in-cheif of the Harvard Lampoon for two years. Then he became a staff writer for SNL, then head writer. Later he was a staff writer, the head writer on The Simpsons. You should check out his Harvard commencement speech on YouTube, towards the end he talks about how frustrating it was and how he embraced his failures to become the huge success he is today.
Jon Stewart started out as a stand-up comic, then had his show on MTV (which failed). He then had his own show on Fox (which failed, even though it was very funny...look up Talk Show Jon on YouTube). After all of this, he kept fighting and took over for Craig Kilborn into a show that's not just funny, but important (check out his Crossfire interview, and his interview with Jim Cramer).
As the old saying goes 'It took the Beatles 15 years to become an overnight success.'
