Children are indeed growing up way too fast and I'm disgusted with what I've seen. You have a school system that makes everyone feel special and thus turning them into complete self centered jerks. You have parents who have no clue on how to raise their kids and they allow their kids to get away with anything.

If I had kids I would never allow them to dress like porn stars when they're in middle school. I wouldn't even think about giving them a cell phone till they were at least 16 (that's when I got my first one). If they did something stupid I'd make sure they never did it again and show them there are consequences for their actions.

Most parents don't even scold their kids anymore because we live in "Political Correct" society today. If a parent does take steps in disciplining their kids they get crucified for it.

Sad part is its getting worse and unless parents wake up its not going to get any better.

In culture nowadays, children younger and younger are wearing more 'adult' clothes *cough*slutty*cough* (tank tops, mini-mini-skirts, expencive looking jewlery, push up bra's etc.)
...

It'd appear your disgust is focused on females.

While you may not be content at staring at thighs and breasts, I am. Why should you care what everyone else is doing? Just police your children and don't let them wear typically "fashionable" clothing. Granted, I am only 15, but I dress like someone a lot older than me. I wear shirts, ties, jeans and shoes normally. That's my typical outfit. It all depends on my mood and whatnot, but stereotyping minors is silly. Not only do they have hormones to contend with, but peer pressure. I'm not complaining about the plight of the underage, I'm just saying, they're looking for dates, and their friends may well be saying "You look better in x than you do in y because it shows off your z."

Only 2 kids of kids I hate

1. Extremely cocky kids

2. Those little fuckers that cry in a semi-fancy to fancy resturant....my gawd, and the parents don't even care!!! I mean the parents get props for trying to keep him quiet, but if they don't care!!!!! I will stuff a sock in that brats mouth!

But really....children like this are a constant, maybe you feel worse because we are the first real generation to reap the technological benefits and they are abusing it... I dunno?

Also I just got my phone...and im 16 whoo!

Bratty kids will get theirs when they all have to live together as adults.

I had a cell in high school, but it was for my whole family (keeping track of one another) and had only a certain amount of minutes before it was necessary to buy a new card. I think it's called Tracfone or something. I almost wish I could go back and not have a phone, but I'm way too busy and have to keep track of myself.

l'm 13, and I agree that the world would be a better place if my generation were shot. I see classmates wearing this crap on a daily basis. And the worst part is that despite all this, they're still a bunch of idiots. It's to the point where I can only really have a meaningful discussion online. Often, I have to dumb down what I say just so they can understand me.

Copy and paste, except I am 14.

Oh shut it. Romans used to procreate at 12. Kids dressing as adults seem alot more mild than teen-prostitutes.

And if we hide sexuality we OBSESS about sexuality. We hide kids from sexuality or lie to them and we get kids who are sex addicts or kids who rely on up the butt as a proper safe-sex alternative.

To be honest, my disgust with many children these days is largely overshadowed by my disgust with their parents and other adults. :-/ There's plenty of disgust to go around; the children don't get to hog it all.

I love all the "I'm 13, but don't worry I'm not like the other kids because I only use my iphone for emergencies!" posts around here.

Here's a tip, you probably aren't much better than the "kids" you are so disgusted with because hating an entire group of people simply because they have better stuff than you do is, well, childish.

Still see no point to 10 year olds with cell phones >_> let the fuckers have some alone time damn it. The worst they are going to do is go masturbate in a corner.

Us teenagers are put in a bad light because of a select few, most of us won't stab you if you talk to us, those that do get given a stereotype which is chosen by the media to represent us all. I wish people would see what we were like before they made a judgement on us. I open doors for other people and they look stunned that a teenager who at my age (according to the media) should be outside taking drugs and starting fights is being polite to them!
Where do you live? I do that all the time, they say thank you and keep walking. Maybe because I live in Georgia, I dont know.

... is there an age limit on this board? I'm 16 and I hate both mine and my sister's generation.

Seriously, anyone in my age group ( where I'm from, anyway ) is either a prick or a slut, who's only concern is boning members of the opposite sex and then TELLING people like me about it the next day-- in PERFECT detail, by the way. Eugh.

But my younger sister's generation horrifies me. She's turning 13 this year, along with all her little friends.

Her little friends and classmates make shit like High School Musical and The Jonas Brothers popular. And taking the series/movie 'Twilight' waaaaaaaay too seriously. My sister's best friend "married" a picture of Edward Cullen.

And is it just me, or is the age limitation on slutification getting lower? A friend of my sister's dresses like a complete skank-bag.

She's 13, for sobbing out loud.

-sigh-... I've lost faith in all humanity.

You had faith in humanity? AHAHAHAHAHA. Fail.

The only thing humanity can be relied on is to fuck shit up in grand spectacular ways.

Not a day goes by where I don't find myself despising every motherfrakker in my high school that wants to call themselves 'students.' They're loud, noisy, obnoxious, they repeat the same asinine stunts in class five seconds after the teachers tell them not to, they don't get in trouble as often as they should, they're obsessed with Twitter/facebook/myspace when they should be focusing on their work, and I get provoked and harassed by plenty of these- pardon my French- retards daily, so I have ample reason to want to hate them.

Believe me, you're not alone in thinking that kids these days can be assholes.
And not a day goes by for me when I have to deal with whiny brats that just run around and the parents do shit about it. And yeah I've run into plenty of those "Twits" in the mall as well. Any change you and I could go on the offense against them and no you don't have to worry about holding back incase you kill one of them.

The bad news is it doesn't stop when you go to university/tafe..... still plenty of retards around acting stupid and yet they are graduating =s mostly thx to the ease of copying cheating etc.

The good news is your not alone and when you do go to uni/tafe you'll start to notice that.

Okay, admittedly I do use SMS a lot, more than necessary. I probably do a lot more things that are considered immature and stupid by many people.

The difference is that I realize that these things are stupid and unnessary. I can give respect to figures of authority and do my assigned homework. I can study for a test and not cheat on assignments. I can dress modestly and not spend absurd amounts of money pointless things like brand name shoes or hats.

The difference, that I argue, is that people like the posters here and myself, and the cretins in our lives is that we here know our stupidity is stupid. They do not know this and relish in the freedom they are granted.

Isn't the first step to solving a flaw, realizing you have one in the first place?

I'm 16 and I agree. Most of my friends are text-message addicts, have at least two phones and binge drink frequently (usually twice a week or so). Not to mention how most of my female friends dress like sluts while the male ones MUST wear "American Eagle" (I live in Victoria, Canada) or some other brand-name shit. I don't own a cell-phone, drink or dress like a tool. Don't get me wrong, my friends are nice and all, but all this stuff is BS to me. Especially make-up. I asked a female friend of mine if she ever didn't wear make-up to school and she was horrorfied. This kinda crap makes kids insecure and makes them spend money on clothes or cosmetics just because they have a certain emblem on them.

I guess all you can do is ignore it and live your life and maybe raise your kids differently if you ever have any.

You could go and blame it on the media, but I blame the parents for not being able to "connect" with their kid and either not caring about what they do or being to lazy/weak to enforce any rules or punishments.

Apparently the slutty six year old clothes are common in Britain. Just seems wrong to me, like an open invitation to all the weirdos out there. Yes slutty six year clothes parents somtimes buy their children this shit. Speaking of blaming the media i think were just starting to come out of the trend where seeing peoples bones is considered sexy. Some girls are skinny so young that they never fully develope as they are supposed to and end up looking slightly like boys. Why some guys like this is debatable. Im just passing on some things ive heard but the slutty six year old gear ive seen and its a bit sick.
