Soooo I have been looking forward to the release of Skyrim since it was first announced but i am also currently In the middle of a very harsh semester at school. So to insure I don't fail half my classes in the last stretch I'm am making a personal decision to abstain from buying Skyrim for at least another month. I'm just curious if anyone else is being forced to make this tragically beneficial decision for whatever reason.

Well, I may decide to get it after launch. It depends. I have quite a few titles to catch up on.

I might get the GotY edition when that comes out though. That's always a thought.

I was never planning to buy Skyrim on launch, because it'll probably be buggy as shit and nigh unplayable. I'll wait for the GOTY edition like I did with Skyrim. By that time, the game is usually working sort of right and you get the DLC with it. Also, it takes a while for the modding scene to make truly awesome mods.

EDIT: Yes, fine. I meant Oblivion in the second sentence. Me no can think today. Has derp and tiredness, m'kay?

I probably won't pick it up until I have a nice chunk of free time. Unless I try it out somewhere and decide I HAVE TO HAVE IT ZOMG.

I'm actually putting off Battlefield 3, MW3, Assassins Creed, Batman and Ace Combat because of Skyrim.

I'm putting off all other games for Skyrim. And I have it pre-ordered.

So no.

Well I'll wait the standard week or two to get in proper independent reviews to see if it's worth my time.

Yeah definitely putting off buying it as this semester is sooo hard and I need to start working more anyway, I'll probably buy it next summer when its cheaper and I'll be able to play it constantly for days without feeling guilty.

MY MIND!
Jokes aside, I'll wait a few weeks after it comes out for reviews from people I trust before deciding to buy it.

I didn't like Oblivion thought it was slow, I didn't like Fall Out 3 or New Vegas thought they were too slow. I'll get Saints Row and Zelda and wait till April or so when enough mods have come out for it

I'll wait for the GOTY edition to give my wallet a break and Bethesda a chance to work out some bugs. Also, I'm still working on finishing Dark Souls.

Getting it sometime next year if the PC version doesn't turn out to be a crappy console port.

Most likely not gonna buy it....ever. I never liked Bethesda's RPGs for some reason, so I'm definitely not looking forward to this.
Kill him. Kill him now. Do not let him taint us. KILL HIM!

OT: I will be putting it off. You know. Once I get a PS3. Then I will buy it.

I tried replaying Oblivion again to get myself in the mood for Skyrim.

It did the opposite. I'm just no longer entertained by that type of game.

If I do suddenly get stricken with crazy and decide to purchase the game, it will likely be well after its release.

Skyrim debuts the day I finally finish with my mid-term projects. I have Fridays off so I'm basically going to wall myself in my dorm and Skyrim until I start talking in Dragon

Yes, yes I have been forced to make a tragic decision with regards to Skyrim.

I will be forced to ignore my family for months and probably forget what my kids names are .... who am I kidding, I barely remember their names now.
