who else is sick of waiting for HL2 ep3?

I played HL2 ep 2 and finished it AGES ago, valve keep releasing L4D stuff but somehow they have forgotten that were waiting solemnly for an ending to what is likely their greatest game ever? neway post any news youve heard or opinions etc below.

Well, bitching about it on the internet isn't going to make it come out any faster.

I don't think we will see it for another 2 to 4 year's.

I don't really care much for it. HL2 was good, but not great.

When it does come, maybe they can make the actual shooting stuff a bit better, or stop the story from being a big ol' heap of generic.
The only thing HL2 only really has going for it that makes it stand out, is the atmosphere, and pretty good voice acting.

You Valve fanbabies go through this every year. You whine to get a game released, when Valve is spending their time making the game into a masterpiece. Then when they DO release a game when you want them to (L4D2), you complain about IT BEING RELEASED ON TIME.

Quit your whining and complaining and fucking wait like the rest of us.

That sums up my whole opinion on this "Bbaaaawwwww! HL2 EP3 hasn't come out yet so I'm going to constantly whine about it until they release it" nonsense quite nicely.

Seriously guys, grow up and stop whining. I mean, I love Valve games and Half-Life 2 as well, but at least I'm mature enough to be patient about the whole deal instead of bitching like some pathetic child who is crying because mommy won't give him/her the toy they really want until christmas day.

Valve said they wanted to release Episode 3 in 2010.

They also said they'd drop some information on it at the end of 2008, but over a year later and all we have is a single piece of concept art. It'd be nice if they'd at least officially announce it was happening.

you do know there's like a ton of other great game releases this year if you really can't take the waiting just give it time when it comes out it will be excellent so stop whining.

They are releasing Portal 2 later on in the year, and i have TF2 and L4D2 to play while i wait for it. And they are both getting updated soon with extra game content for free (well for pc anyway).

I've given up waiting. They're too focused on their new projects, Portal 2 and L4D DLC, to bother with it. I honestly think they're just teasing about it so they don't have to deal with the outrage they'd get when they announce "it's just not happening" so they say they're procrastinating.

And I can comfortably say they've lost a customer for it. The only game I've put any amount of time into is Portal. I've only played L4D once, never TF2, because of Microsoft's highway robbery of an online gaming setup; and I haven't started on HL 2 because I have no desire to start a story of which there will be no ending.

Sorry for the rant there, it just gets to me when people say they're going to do something and don't actually do it.

I'm not. I am however, sick of people talking about waiting for it; talking about how long they have waited for it. Valve will release it whenever they want, not before. More often then not, the longer a game is in development, the better it will be. However, some people seem to be getting there hopes up so high for it, that no matter how good it is they will be disappointed. I personally don't care when they release it.
