Who else wants a new Fatal Frame?!? And have you played/heard of Fatal Frame before?

I dont know about you but the horror genera of games seem to be in a rut. I believe a new Fatal Frame could really bring the genera back (That and Silent Hill Downpour). I dont know about you but the Fatal Frame games were literally the most frightening games on the market, and still are.

Anyone else played these terrific games? Also would you want a new Fatal Frame like me?

In all serius though, only because is on the Wii doesn't mean it is a knock off, never played myself since it was never release out of japan and even it did I still don't own a Wii, but from what I heard it apear so be a good game.

Knock off would be if they remade Fatal Frame 2 on the Wii...Oh Wait...

The game IS Fatal Frame 4, it just never got a localization. There is a fan translation out there though. Would you also consider games such as No more Heroes 1+2, Trauma Team and House of the Dead Overkill not "legit" games just because they are on the Wii? Don't dismiss a whole console so fast

EDIT: You are in for another disappointment because the fifth game is going to be released on the Wii as well.

Yeah, it is. Same people that made the first two, just didn't bring it to the states 'cause they're friggin' idiots who hate awesomeness.

OT: I freaking love the games. I've played the first two, and though I have yet to play Silent Hill 2, nothing ever has yet scared me more than those two games. Truly amazing. I especially love how the combat system requires you to take an already horrifying situation and go down to the level of the threat in first-person to fight it. Brilliance.

Bit more on-topic, I have heard of them, but never actually found a copy, even if my friend Megan has suggested I find a copy of Crmison Butterfly (2 i think) and play it this minute.

Played the first one on the Gamecube was amazing.
I don't know why but kid ghosts always make me jump its the only horror out of all the movies and games i have played that freaked me out.
Amnesia dark decent and silent hill were not scary at all for me but that game was

It was originally just called Zero. Both Europe and North America renamed it.

None of the names really make sense. Unless zero has connotations of ghosts, spirits, or death, or the ring signifies the ring in the camera, I'm at a loss. It is, however, pronounced rei, which is the name of the protagonist in the third game. Still, I doubt it was some nod to the future as Miku tends to be the most significant character. Although, it could be a play on words if rei is a homophone like damn and dam. Or the creator could have just been a fan of dadaism. I can't speak Japanese, so I'm at a loss.

Project Zero just sounds like something they slapped on. There may have been something called Zero in Europe at the time is all I can think.

Fatal Frame seems to make some attempt to explain it, but it only makes sense in hindsight and if you tilt your head to the side while closing one eye.

I guess it's just hard to come up with a name for a game that involves exorcising spirits with cameras.
