Who is the greatest anime hero ever!?

Now I'm quite sure that by my avatar some of you can discern who I would pick for this. Not true. It's actually a toss up between Monkey D. Luffy and Yusuke Urameshi. I like Luffy cuz I love One Piece and he's one of the more creative characters I've seen. Plus he's one of the few characters I can think of that defeats his enemies in creative ways.

Okay, say why you think he/she is the best. Don't start wars over this okay.
Let's just have some friendly discusstion among anime fans.

but Ichigo is also pretty awesome, he does'nt mope and cry every time he gets his ass kicked like most heroes, he learns from his losses and comes back stronger

Luffy is kewl, but the ending of yuu yuu hakashow (however you spell that) is really retarded. Luffy is the best hero, but Naruto is the best series, but i only say that cause i read the manga and know what happens all the way to chapter 420. Spoiler alert, Naruto becomes a sage like Jiriyia, and Sakura becomes a medical ninja like Tsunade, AND SASUKE KILLS OROCHIMARU

Sheesh, such angry pessimists. Anyways, many anime fans enjoy gaming so you can't really say that. Weather there are many gamers on this forum who like anime can be debated. And Shiuz, the Tales series, Dragon quest series, the pokemon series is still popular, Chrono cross/trigger, Xenosaga, Xenogears, Earth Bound, Kingdom Hearts, Golden Sun, and many more that I don't feel like listing.

As someone who's picky about anime, I've got to pick Dr. Tenma from Monster, mainly because of the turmoil and emotional conflict he goes through throughout the series. Closely following would be Cho Hakkai from Gensomaden Saiyuki. Anyone who owns a dragon-jeep is awesome in my book.
