who is the second most evil person in history to you?

i find it rather fascinating / disturbing how many people trivialize the crimes of hitler by placing him so low on the evil-scale

Compared to pol pot he didn't kill that many, if I remember correctly.

depends on how you count really. you could blame hitler for every dead in the second world war. but what makes his evil unique is the intent and the efforts to whipe out an entire people, down to the last individual, and not just some elaborate scheme, they really tried and gave their best to make it happen. that is something no other man, no matter how evil, did. that's why i consider stalin not nice, but better then hitler. he might have done extremely cruel and unjust things, but he is also responsible for stopping the undoubtably most vicious individual in human history.

Fred Phelps, no contest. If it weren't the fact that everyone already recognizes him for being bat-shit insane, he probably WOULD turn into a modern day Hitler.

Credit where it's due though, Phelps actually did some positive work for civil rights in his youth. Still a scumbag, but not on the same level as Hitler.

I'd have to go with Stalin myself. Higher body count than Hitler and got away with it too.

If were counting it on intentions then I would be way up there aswell, while I have not killed any body and have no intention of doing so. I think we are a cancer on this planet, everything else lives in a balance, humans dominate and control everything, we take without giving back.

Just the bottom 5% contributing to the country every 30 years, we control the population of other animals, were animals just a different kind of animal, yet there is over 6.8 billion of us!

If there was 6.8 billion elephants we would kill all but about a billion of them, if there was 6.8 billion ducks we would wipe them out, same with dogs, cats and just about everything except insects.

Nothing causes as much destruction as humans do, building massive cities, flooding massive sections of land by building damns, cutting down masses of forests and poaching.

I chose second because I'm pretty damn sure killing 12 million people because "they are not like me" is pretty much as evil as you can get, and I don't want everyone putting down Hitler. anyway, for me it was Dr. Antonio Moniz, who invented the lobotomies. his practice was wide spread(used by parents to make an unruly child more.. um, ruly and husbands on wives who had a brain and a heart) until it was outlawed by the soviet union in the 50's. that's the equivalent Hitler and Satan agreeing firmly that you're an ass and giving you a firm kick in the nads. he was killed by one of his own patience, who was probably seeking revenge for having a piece of his brain removed. he got a noble peace prize for it to, proving that all you have to do to get one is to turn people into zombies(basically what a lobotomy did).

Im sorry but the genecide was set to be 6,000,000 the rest was war and all sides had part in that. Stalin on the other side killed aprox. 20,000,000 people just becouse he didnt like them throughout his reign of terror, sadly he had no such great thing as racism to hang over his slaughter or didnt kill a prominent enough ethic group, but instead he just picked of slavs. So personaly i think stalin should be place 1. As number 2 i would almost say julius ceasar and his empire (romans where the first fashists and were down with genocides + enslavery etc)

Shawn "VenomFangX" from Youtube deserves a mention; he's more stupid than evil, but he took donations to help kids dying in a hospital ward gain a little hope and then spent every penny on himself. Other than that, I'd have to say the 2nd most evil person ever would have to be the guy who decided that all hotdog buns should come in packs of 6, but all hotdogs come in packs of 8, CURSE YOU!
