There's a hell of a lot of people who deserve this but purely because it's what I'm playing just now, Garrus Vakarian gets it. I mean c'mon, THAT THING HAPPENS(not gonna spoiler it) and he just shrugs it off! Not to mention the fact that he's tapping the Saviour of the Galaxy and has no problems blowing her off for 'calibrations'. I'd say that's pretty bad-ass.

Hmmm, I would personally nominate Cloud Strife, despite the whole angst thing. Though technically a lot of the protaganists mentioned here like Kratos and Snake are just as loaded with it as he is, so it's all good.

It's not power level, so much as I keep thinking of the whole bit where Sepiroth impales him from behind, and then cloud picks him up and throws him into the Mako reactor before he even had the Jenovah cells.

They later ruined that whole scene in various prequels, spin-offs, and anime, but the REAL way it went down in the actual video game was pure awesome.
