It is recommended that you have more content in your threads than a title with a question to which you point.

OT: Personally, Spider-man. Not because of any objective reasons at all, Iron man and the gang are all cool, but Spider-man is the one I grew up with, and will always be the one I remember most fondly.

Kraven the Hunter. Solely because of Kraven's Last Hunt.

Dr Strange on the hero side, because despite his personal flaws Steve Ditko could draw like the dickens!

Deadpool and Wolvie are indeed great, but Marvel really needs to learn the result of too much of a good thing.
I'm gonna have to go with Cap on this. With the right writer, he's the most interesting and downright likeable character in their stable.

I stand by my answer.
your answer of deadpool made me not take this thread seriously.
whats wrong with deadpool? i myself am more of a DC fan myself but doing a "what is your favorate DC super hero/villian" will just resolt with a page full of pictures of batman and joker... (mine is a tie between hall jordan the first green lantern and kyle rainer the latest one...)

Deadpool covers both hero and villain nicely. By nicely, I mean there is nothing about him that is not awesome.

Runners up, Wolverine and Spider Man for heroes, and Venom and Mystique for villains.

if anyone i would have to say wolverine because he is the man!
the best of both worlds:

The Dark Claw!

Deadpool is lame because he's basically become the product of this type of reasoning: 'what do nerds like?'
"ninjas? Firefly?"
"Okay he has ninja powers and is snarky"
And I hate being 'pandered' to. That's really what reading his comics feel like. A lot of people that don't read any comics at all (or next to nothing) instantly say he's their favorite.

He's also a hold over from the 'Dark Age' which many comic readers would be glad to get rid of.

It's completely impossible for me to choose between Deadpool (the way Joe Kelly wrote him) and Wolverine.

Hard to choose between Deadpool, Nightcrawler, and Gambit, hero-side.

Hard to choose between Deadpool and Taskmaster, villain-side.

Oh yeah.

So I like the classic. The gold standard. So sue me.

This guy pretty much set the standard for 40+ years of how a super villain is supposed to act.

Pretty much this.

Spider-Man, because I grew up with him (although his 'funny' dialogue in video games does my head in to no end) and Deadpool (just for the fourth wall breaking thing... oh and the katana) especially in the instances when they team up <3
Despite the fact Captain America was usually lost on me as a kid, Marvel Civil War is making me appreciate him more... anyone else read that series?

I think for villains I'd go Venom or Magneto, purely because I'm a sucker for twisted morals. :)

Iron Man. I just loved him as a kid. I mean, he's basically a rich nerd who gets all the ladies and has a robot suit. AKA, what I wish my life was like.
