Who is your favorite underappreciated character

Out of all of your favorite games, movies, series, etc, who is your favorite under appreciated character. The one most other fans seem to gloss over or they don't give enough screen time to.

For me it is a toss up between Wallace from Scott Pilgrim and Applejack from MLP:FiM.

He's pretty much useless thanks to the Saiyans so he just gets overlooked but he's so damn cool

Well he managed to give cell a hard time so he is still pretty damn tough. But yeah he was pretty much my favorite character from the original series.

I don't think Scott Pilgrim is under-appreciated. Ever since the film came out everyone knows who he is. Or every nerd anyway, and most people like the character. I can't really say anything about MLP characters but they seem to be fairly popular right now.

I'd go for the Arbiter from Halo 2. He's the only good character in any of the games and his story arc in Halo 2 was really good. But all everyone cares about it Master Chief. Nero from DMC4 is another one I think people don't give enough credit too. Not really because of his personality or his storyline but how he plays. His personality and storyline are okay, nothing particularly special but perfectly serviceable, but I really love the way he controls and his move set in the game. I had more fun playing as him than as Dante.

That's not Scott Pilgrim it's just a character from the comic.

Hard to say, but I really like Spike from MLP:FiM. I like him for various reasons, I love dragons and he is pretty much an expy from an old favorite of mine(The previous MLP TV show) being the key reasons. But in the whole series he has had only two focus episodes and the rest of the time he only seems to really be there for comedic effect or just a step or two up from a background character. Also like it was said in the first post the rest of the fandom just kinda seem to 'gloss' over him, I don't come across too many people who are fans of his.

Seriously drawing a blank on anyone with a name... Phoenix Wright would count in Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3, nobody seems to want to learn his playstyle except me and some very few and far between individuals. Funny as hell when some asshole copies your team out of spite and realises he can't do shit without the evidence he doesn't know how to collect though...

Let's see. Mercenary Tao was awesome in Dragon Ball. Roshi gets a real short stick in DBZ, he was one of the best characters and physically a beast in the original. He loses both in Z. Same with Oolong, minus the strength part.

I liked the fox guy i can't remember the name of from the old Sonic saturday morning cartoon that said fool like "fewel". Don't ask me why lol

Launchpad McQuack. Nuff said.

HK-47. I know a lot of KOTOR nerds think he's the sh*t, myself included, but overall, he doesn't get enough props.

Every cool character in the Star Wars prequels.

Starrk from Bleach I'd have to go with, I love his lackadaisal(sp?) attitude and the fact that he's actually a nice guy despite being a Hollow.

When you say under appreciated character as in not enough fan recognition I'd go with Luigi.

He's actually somewhat fleshed out and lovable but is constantly overshadowed by Mario simply because he's the main character. You don't always get to play as luigi, usually he's reserved for player 2. But he's so cool. Now if you meant characters who don't get enough recognition in general, not just in relation to the rest of their respective casts? Then it's a tie between coop from Megas xlr and Coach Mcguirk from home movies. Those two are just awesome and nobody even knows them.

Seriously, I even had trouble finding a decent pic (lots of cosplayers though >_>), so I had to go with this one. Seriously, if you've played Persona 3, you'd know why he deserves more appreciation.

Raiden. I have no idea why MGS fans hate him so (beyond the fact that he is not Snake). He has an interesting back story, he is just as competent/bad-ass as Snake (maybe even more. Remember the ending of MGS2?), and he has a decent personality. Why do people not like him more?
