If so then I guess that would be Kotetsu T. Kaburagi (from the anime Tiger and Bunny) for me!

Gosh dammit he is just so likeable since for a superhero character he just feel so original. Instead of some teen superhero or some badass cool guy, he's a father (yes I know there are dad superhero but they are not as popular to the non dads heroes like Spider-man, Batman, Superman etc).

His motivation to do good was from meeting the very first superhero as a kid (a simple origin and not a tragic like Peter Parker or Bruce Wayne) which lead him to become one and adopting the older style of crimefighting (don't give a danm about property damage, safety of the people come first and always hide his identity)!

Even then he put up a comedical outlook toward his comrades and act aloof when he was actually caring for their wellbeings like being the first to admit they need a break from training when they are all exhauted.

He's awesome enough that he gets a promotion in title no matter what. That was one of the best quotes ever made in movie history, and it makes me happy that there was one person here that knows about him as well. Me and my friends watched that movie so many times in college.
