Tennant in his premiere Christmas Invasion Episode, funny that he wasn't technically doing much until the end but those last 10minutes were still freaking awesome.

and i still laugh at that scene where Rose's mom won't STFU when she asks the Doctor what heh needed

Eccleston as the 9th Doctor in Rose.

Although I believe I saw the old 'Dalek Invasion Earth' first but didn't know at the time what it was and just thought it was a cool old movie with murderous pepper pots on wheels.
I knew it was only a matter of time before you turned up in this thread! You got here faster than I thought though!
It's almost like he... travelled through time. dun dun DUN!

I remember seeing some Doctor Who episodes in the late 90's, and getting scared and hiding behind the sofa (cliched, but it happened)

Christopher Eccleston (9th) in the Unquiet Dead.

My parents were big fans of the old stuff, and saw that PBS was showing Doctor Who again and decided to watch to see what it was. Come to find out, it was the new stuff. They started taping it and I came in on the Unquiet Dead (half way through). My mom told my dad to rewind so I could start from the beginning.

Not the greatest episode in Eccleston's arsenal, but it was enough to get me completely hooked.

I loved Eccleston...and as much as I love Tennant and Smith, I miss him deeply. I got to see his stuff a lot because PBS just reran them over and over, and he had a very, very specail place in my heart.

First doctor I saw was the Tennant episode with the Angels, i'm to lazy to go look up what that episode is called. When I first started watching Doctor Who I didn't know about the regeneration thing so when I saw my first Eccleston episode I was pretty confused, luckily it was the episode where he turns into Tennant so it was made clear to me pretty quickly.

Tennant in "Blink". Good episode, it allows for people not familiar with the show to get ushered in properly. Hate to say I've just about had it with Matt Smith though.

Eccelston. I had been interested in The Doctor for years but never had any medium to expose myself to it until Netflix add everything since the 9th doctor to current doctor matt smith

Ahhh... my first one was Eccleston and he's still my favorite. I think the first one I ever saw was the one where they're in world war 2 era london ("Are you my mummy?") Can't remember the name of it.

Eccleston as the 9th Doctor in Rose for me as well.

"Run!"

"Hi Rose, I'm the Doctor, Run for your life!"

I was hooked. ;)

I'm not quite that old so it must have been a repeat, but it was Pertwee in The Green Death the one with the maggots. It was close to the end of Pertwee's run as the third Doctor, and the last episode with Jo Grant as companion. I liked Dr Who but didn't love it until I saw Robot, then I was hooked.

Calling all Doctor Who fans, I was just curious as to which incarnation of the Doctor you all were introduced to. I was lucky and my first was Genesis of the Daleks with Tom Baker. (The Fourth Doctor)
I saw the BBC 2005 reboot, I loved the ragged semi-ruthless doctor.
It's a shame they replaced him with another one. And then another one.
The replacements happen in this series a lot. Eccleston left because he did not realize the 10 month 6 day a week schedule was going to be so bad, he didn't want to leave, and they didn't want him to leave. Then Tannent was amazing and left after 3 seasons so he wouldn't be typecast. Matt Smith is amazing and will be with us for a while I hope. We are seeing a faster turnover of our Doctors, I think, because this is the first time that we have seen this many series shot so quickly.

I love all the Doctors.

It was "The Long Game", with Christoper Eccleston, #9. I am currently in love with Matt Smith though.

I honestly don't remember my first one, so long ago it was. The first I can remember would be Eccleston at the start of the new series.

My favorite is Tennant, with Smith coming second.

Thanks to Netflix I began with the oft-underrated Christopher Eccelston in his first episode.
Indeed. Eccelston was a great Doctor, even if he was only around for 1 season.

He was my first Doctor too, I started watching the new series with "Rose". And, although nothing will ever trump David Tennet (as far as I know) Matt Smith is fun to watch too. Love the new series, can't wait to get the first half of season 6 on dvd soon!

That's eerie. That's the first episode I ever saw, too!

Tom Baker reigns supreme.

9th Doctor, first episode. I could not stand Eccelston; he tried too hard to be funny and failed at it. Tennant came by it naturally. Matt Smith is... OK, I guess, but he doesn't hold a candle to Tennant.

I started with the 2005 reboot with Chris Eccleston, from the beginning. I was quite impressed by Eccleston, but David Tennant...that man is on a whole 'nother level. Not just as a Doctor, but as an actor in general. Look up some of his Shakespearean work on YouTube. His Hamlet is breathtaking.

Tom Baker for me as well. Was such a loooooong time ago and I was very little. Can't remember exactly what episode it was. I remember beeing transfixed to it and Tom freaking me out but in a good way. Also I definatly wanted a jelly babie. Ahhh Tom you where the greatest. David T is the only one that came close to him really. Though I did enjoy Peter Davidson and am loving Matt Smith so far.
