A bastard who doesn't take care of his kids. But my middle name (the one I go by) is Matthew, who is an apostle and one of Jesus's friends.

Fiona, I was named for the meaning it has I think. Fair one- dad's from Dublin, and I've got my gran's genes from his side, pale skin and dark red hair. That or my parents just liked it.

Yes, yes, I come off all self-righteous, but my uncle owns a hotel named after this guy. I feel an automatic urge to correct if I see his name spelled incorrectly.

Anyway, I was named after my maternal grandmother. And, as luck would have it, 50% of the female population in my country have the same name.

Now I feel like a total self-righteous douche. I'm sorry. *sticks out hand to shake*

OT: Fun fact! My brother is named after my paternal grandfather. Creativity was never one of my parents' strong suits.

After my cousin/father/grandfather (three different people, not the same guy, tyvm).

EDIT: If I have a son, I plan on naming him after Leto Atreides. Or the archangel Gabriel.

The steel driving man. Apparently my father thinks it's funny to name me after a historical railroad worker. I think it's because he's a racist bigot.

Nobody in particular. No famous people bear my name. I believe my parents thought the name sounded nice and uncommon enough to give it to me. My middle name is my father's middle name though. But it's boring and biblical.

I was named after the composer Haydn. Apparently, my name also means "lives by a hedged wall" in old Celtic or something along those lines. It's kind of funny really, I've got a friend called Joseph and so together, we are Joseph Haydn (the composers full name)

EDIT: Just thought, my middle name is a river. One of the only two rivers to rise in England and finish in Wales. I'll leave you to figure out which one.

I was named three days after I was born because my mom wanted to see if I looked like a name. She was thinking about naming me Sarah, but decided that I looked more like a Melinda instead.
