I'm still not entirely convinced that The Riddler is where they should be going with the next batman film. I'm still kind of annoyed that my favorite batman villain, The Scarecrow, has been turned into a second rate thug, particularly in the brief "cameo" in the Dark Knight.
I'm intrigued by whoever said Barry Pepper, a guy I genuinely like as an actor but couldn't really imagine doing Riddler. I agree with him that Nolan's been kind of doing that alot with these movies. Taking the director into account I'll throw out a few weird odd pitches myself.
-James Brolin- Nolan seems to pick a few guys who've been around the block who've recently come into the spotlight and/or critical acclaim. Coming off of W, this is probably the strangest pick I've come up with, but who knows. I never thought James Brolin would amount to a whole lot better than being a Goonie.
-Guy Pearce- This guy was in Nolan's Memento, and the only other memorable thing he's done is Priscilla. I think it's time this guy proves his stuff again.
-Rufus Sewell- **shrugs**, I liked Dark City.
-Ioan Gruffudd- I don't know if he's in a contract with Marvel or whatever, but I'd like to see him try his hand at villainry, or something not so straight-faced heroic as Hornblower or Richards.
But, in keeping with the dark theme of the recent Batman movies (and the comics in general), I'd like to see a revamp of Firefly with Giovanni Ribisi taking a stap at it.
