i liked it but a few things should be changed, it was kind of awkward having three guys talking to a camera instead of each other, i liked their podcast format better, where they are actually bickering with each other, instead of alot of scripted action.

the sketches were alright, the doom dev sketch was hilarious, but the other two were mild

their choice of jingle was terrible, but it is by all means a good prototype

Yahtzee works best alone and when hes not overdoing the cynicism/boredom in his manner in a way that makes ZP fans gag for breath

the other two were good, yet treated the whole thing like a joke or, worse, a cheep gaming show aimed towards the frat and casual demographic (which in retrospect in probably was)

although the adventure games segment and intro were amusing, as a whole it lacked life

Hey, another one of these threads. User does not know how to use search button.

As for game damage, Enough with the Yahtzee fanboyism everyone, his participation in the program was not really better than any of the others. His attempt to maintain his ZP character outside of ZP is half hearted and reads horribly. Charming in his cynicism a la ZP is one thing, an irritating pre-suicidal git (that's the term, yes?) is quite another.

I appreciated the editorial on adventure games, but the skits I could have done without, they were overdone, one sequence of Master Chief walking around serves the episode as well as the three or four that were included. By the end of the episode I had wished they didn't do any of the Duke Nukem sketches (again, one would have sufficed in making the joke)

Firstly, Game Damage is very Australian, it has that sort of feel to it, but it also seems torn in what it wants to be, review show / variety show / game news show / user engaged show... whatever. It needs to decide on that first, and then it needs a proper structure. The couch thing would be a better stand alone or program book end, there was enough interview and editorial content to structure the skits into act breaks making the show more fluid and understandable.

In the end, it was a pilot. It wasn't a horrible pilot (though it could have been better) and pilots always improve. It's a viable series, and if they keep on working with it it will get better. I'd just be happy if they lost the skits.

This has already been done... to death...

I actually.. really.. wasn't that impressed. And I already HATE one of the presenters with a passion.. they have only done a single pilot and I hate him already. (well ok, dislike.)

I think Yahtzee is trying his hardest to not control the show. Because seriously, he is the dominate personality there. And it would be quite easy for him to take control of the show. Matt may give him a run for his money, but Matt needs to rehearse his lines better, so when he is doing a presentation he doesn't umm.. ahh.. and fall back of filer lines all the time while trying to coherently organize his thoughts. It comes of as very under prepared and unpolished.

I thaught it was good, sure it needs tweeks here and there but its a pilot, im sure they'l take criticism under there belt and use it for improvements.

I think it has some good potential.

The pilot was quite good (not checked if a new one went up), the Master Chief bit gave me a laugh as well as the MMORPG bit but it was quite bland really and didn't seem like the hosts had a history since they weren't very talky.
