As for a serious answer to the question I think that it's healthy not to have a too specific thing in mind when looking for a partner (like "I want a goth girl" or "I want a girl with wavy hair" etc). Every time I've thought to myself "I'd really like a girl who is like x" either someone else has come along who has been totally different, OR I've actually met a girl who is like x and it didn't work out all that well. It's better to work out what is absolutely essential for the good of a relationship and then look for that, rather than being all like "she MUST have a funny lip curl when she smiles".

Y'know, I am totally off the idea of a "dream girl". I thought I'd married her, but divorce has a tendency to shatter illusions (and bring into focus just how much I liked being single back in the day---what the hell was I thinking deciding to commit?)

But if there IS a dream girl out there for me, she's Slavic (blonde or brunette, north Slav or south Slav, matters not), Neutral Good, tough as nails outside the bedroom and submissive in it, and doesn't need me to wipe her ass for her (metaphorically speaking. My ex-wife couldn't even make out a check without getting me to do it for her.)

No kidding. I always thought I would have my first relationship with a spiky haired Asian boy (this was back when I thought I was completely straight) and then I ended up kissing a wavy-haired Jewish girl.

I'm a sucker for the cute, shy, purple bobcut archetype.

But I don't think I'll run into any of those any time soon... >_>
...unless you attend the proper comic-/cartoon-related conventions:

Triana Orpheus cosplay [http://images.google.com/images?hl=en&safe=active&rlz=1C1CHMI_en-USUS299US308&um=1&sa=1&q=triana+orpheus+cosplay&aq=f&oq=&aqi=&start=0]

Go Team Venture! :D

...on-topic, I married the love of my life who's all sorts of fun (and not-so-fun, sometimes), has similar opinions on the world and those in it (though not completely the same which makes for better conversations), and, of course, she's got a sweet ass. ;)

However, it's also been long understood that should Drew Barrymore show up at our door... :p

My ex girlfriend. I mean, really? A super intelligent, beautiful, hot, talented girl and I dumped her because of her tastes in fiction, music and general demeanor?

I'm a bastard to myself sometimes.
So you dumped a girl who treated you like shit and with whom you seem to have nothing in common and you're kicking yourself for it? I totally don't follow, dude.

Dream guy: Tall, smart, interesting, dark hair, not a complete asshole, gamer, open minded... Wait, I live with him already! Win!

Dream girl: Redhead/odd color/dark color, not blonde, has curves, intelligent, interesting, gamer, goth (preferable but not required), open minded.

I am way less picky about guys because if nothing else it's fun to watch them interact with each other. And "borrow" their clothes. Not so much with girls... In my experience even best friends get ridiculously catty with each other at times.

I couldn't say for sure on everything. She'd have to be interesting, not genius but at least able to think for herself. Being a geek would be nice, and i absolutely COULDN'T date a girl who's afraid of sex.

I think I may have found him but there's too big of an age gap and my chances are kinda...non-existent. xD

Yeah it's amazing what can happen if you let it. At one point I thought to myself "I really want a hot Asian gothic girl" and then I went out with was absolutely has to be the hottest Asian gothic girl I've ever seen in my life. What a bunch of insane headfuckery and bullshit that turned out to be. As they say, be careful what you wish for because it might come true... anyway the overweight, housewifey Amelie-haired chick I went out with after that was far more fun and worthwhile on every level.

That sounds like a girl I went to high school with, with the exception that she was not shy. She had a purple bob for awhile right after graduation. And, as a previous poster mentioned, there are always Triana Orpheus cosplayers
