Arthur Dent from the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy trilogy. Actually, can I say Batman? I mean, he's a vigilante... You know what, I'm saying Batman. Why?

Ezio Auditore Da Firenze. If you don't believe me, check out the Gameplay video of Revelations that came out of E3. Love the man....but he is a fucking Sociopath Terrorist.

Mal. He's a murderer, a smuggler, a thief, a liar, and a criminal, but has a heart of gold.
Everyone knows he's the REAL hero of those movies
You can't really call Malcom an anti-villain because he's not. It's like calling Han Solo and anti-villain and he's not he is more of a scoundrel. If you want a clearly picture as to what an anti-villain is take a look at TV Tropes classification as to what an anti-villain [http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/AntiVillain] is.
Right. Which is why Mal the anti-hero I picked (the title of the thread), and my favorite anti-villain is who you see when you click on the spoiler tag in the post you quoted.

Since most of the good ones have been mentioned, I'm going to say either Cole MacGrath or Alex Mercer. Cole because he has some badass powers and Alex because he is voiced by Barry Pepper and has a sweet jacket. He's got cool powers too, but I always liked Cole's a little more.

THE PUNISHER BY FAR,thinkin he may be the "original anti-hero",he's pretty much did what no other anti-hero or hero for that matter has,Deadpool is a really good one also, but Frank is so much more badass as far as "anti-hero" feats,he is the 1st thing i thought when i seen the thread.

I think he was referring to Mal as an anti-hero. The little boxed thing was a spoiler tag on a picture of Freddy from the Nightmare on Elmstreet films.

Aeon Flux - from the animated series not the one from the movie
That IS a good one. I'd put Trevor Goodchild on the list as well.
To me Goodchild is more of a irrational madman like more sophisticated version of Joker.

Ozymandias from Watchmen. Then again pretty much everyone was a anti-hero in the comic. But I just liked him a lot.

Raziel from Soul Reaver or even Kain himself - Raziel is out to save the world only as a means of vengeance against his former master and Kain wants to save the world (and even damns it) only to rule it.

At the moment its Petyr Baelish (or Littlefinger) from a Song of Ice and Fire. I just love how this guys mind works. He is ten steps ahead of just about everyone else and you never know what he has up his sleeve next.

Lelouch vi Britannia. With all technicality he would be the Anti-hero despite him being the main character of Code Geass.

Well I'm gonna go with Kratos from God of War.
Well your avatar made me think of a very excellent example: John Marston

Also, yes, these are all true:
Frank Castle
Deadpool
Any Watchmen
Renegade Shepard

*I don't understand about Batman being an anti-hero though, maybe in Frank Miller incarnations, but not in straight DC stuff - unless I'm missing something*

I know right? That is all I can think about when I play Assassin Creed games especially 2; Ezio builds his real and surrogate family around political killings, thievery, prostitution, and generally being Awful. Despite this you like Ezio, the game is even starting to make Desmond look appealing

Didn't even think about him but that is a really good one. I love Deadpool and Gambit. But the wolverine movie didn't do justice to either character. And you can't forget Rorschach. And Yossarian from catch 22, bender, V from v for vendetta , and the main character from the live.
