Apart from looking around building now and again, I can't actually think of much detective work he does. But his occupation's detective, so I say it counts.

Would the Doctor count? He finds things, figures out what they are, then catches the killers. Then he pwns them so hard that they won't try and shoot him the next time, which comes in handy a lot when the Daleks show up.

Do you really need a detective when Daleks are about? It's pretty darn obvious!

So corny, it's amazing. I remember watching the two horrid tween movies when I WAS a tween. Good times.

His gadgets were wonky and something always went wrong, but he'd win out in the end. Very Scooby Doo that way.
