Calm down, not everyone likes every game genre, can I ask why you hate Jrpg's with such vehemence?

Also if I remember correctly Yahtzee doesn't play most fantasy rpg's and Jrpg's but sometimes he does, he even said the Jrpg The World Ends With You wasn't bad.

Lara Croft - Tomb Raider: Legend, and in none of her other games. Ever.

yes! she actually has a character in that game. she is driven by her mom and then has to deal with betrayal and she seems like shes barely coping towards the end shes supposedly a stereotypucally badass chic, but she relys on her freinds in that game, leaning on them for support both informationally and physcologivcally. i cant wait to find out what happens to her in underworld.

i also want to toss in votes for both samus and alyx vance but those chars have been talked about extenseively so for all the reasons others have posted, i vote for them.

yea agreed. lara was badass in legends. Not that im a huge TR fan far from it rly. But i am looking forward to Underworlds alot.

Are you kidding? That was the worst game in the series! A stupid plot that you couldn't really understand as it was explained over gun fights, in boring dialog by a group of yanks.

The whole point of Lara Croft was she was strong and reliant only on herself. Plus that game got rid of her attitude and replaced with the typical girlie-girl routine. I officially gave up after that pathetic sequel.

I'm surprised at the prevalence of Alyx Vance in this thread, to be honest. Sure, she's better than most characters, I guess, but I don't think she's got any aspects that really set her apart from the average sidekick.

Anyway, in no particular order, here's my list:

Annah - Planescape: Torment (guess I lied about no particular order, in retrospect she's definitely my favourite. In fact, while I'm at it, I'll include Fall-From-Grace and Ravel Puzzlewell at the top of this list. Damn I love Torment.)

Hmm, I'll go with either Joy or Lishoa Tao (I always forget her real name but I want to say Xiuying) from the Shenmue games, specifically number 2. Joy because she has an almighty bike and seems to be the only person in Hong Kong that is allowed a vehicle in the various side streets, and Lishao Tao because she can easily kick Ryo's arse without even looking.
