My dad, he's a personal hero because he's just a relly great guy, and he's technically a real hero by my standards, as he has saved many lives.

Arne Næss. A freeminded philosopher wich not only showed me how wonderful philosophy is and is the greatest example of being free to be who you want to be.

My Physics teacher.

While performing an experiment showing us how spot welding worked with a transformer he said this:

"I should probably be using a glass shield for this but, hey, life's cheap." and then sparks flew everywhere.

Tankman,...a simple common man holding up a column of tanks with nothing but grocieries. Especially, after the Chinese government massacres the night before. That is a real life hero who's image is a rallying cry for freedom and individualisim.

Other good non-fiction hero's; Lord George Byron, who argued in Parliment for peoples rights against inhuman tide of the industrial revolution and died fighting for Greek independence from Turks.
Monica Seles for her indomitable will and grace after a brutal attack and unfair insensitive treatment from her peers.
Founders of the United States, Ben, George, Alexander, John, Thomas and the rest of the crew of much maligned, "dead white guys" who had the courage to challange a tyrant against what seemed insurmountable odds to create a country that gives the freedom to individuals to have heroes.

Some great fictional heroes for me....
Tom from Uncle Tom's Cabin.
Huck Finn from Adventures of Huckleberry Finn.
Cyrano De Bergerac.
Odysseus and Diomedes

and Captain James T. Kirk...as portrayed by the ONLY man who can play him,...Bill "the thrill" Shatner.

I see your Patton and raise you Rommel.

For being the guy modern tankers still study, and for being a good guy even though he served a rather rotten regime(lolunderstatement).

In real life? Absolutely no one.

Fictional characters? Both Tomoya and Nagisa from the anime Clannad.

For me? It was my step-dad. He's no longer around, but he's given me some of the strongest lessons that I've ever had, mostly dealing with an attempt to understand the world and to meet my goals.
That's sweet ^^

Mine is Sara. Just because she is... well, her <3

Bill Hicks is also a personal hero. Just because he is the funniest creature to have ever walked this earth.
Technically she's a superheroine. Just sayin'...

OT: No-one. I have never yet seen a person who deserves such a lofty title.
*elbows*
Whoops, accident!

OT: Hmmm...I'd say Jesus actually. Be nice to everbody. Don't kill things for no reason. Things like that.

Heh heh. Alright. To quote a lost friend; My real friends will forever be my heroes.
*dance dance* ^^
You can't be my hero though. You're far too tall. T^T
