Why all the hate for Justin Bieber?

Being a Brit, I'd never heard Bieber's music until I started reading all the hate about him on the internet. So I looked up a couple of his videos on YouTube.
And then it all became clear.
His gurning, helmet-haired, tuneless pop does not make me feel sympathetic to the little fella.

Like Twilight, the fanbase is almost unbelievably annoying. So much so they directly invoked the wrath of Anonymous (but we don't talk about that.)

Only song I've heard, all I really heard was "baby". I hate pretty much all pop, music on the radio, and most everything that gets popular (still haven't figured that one out, but the more people that hear about a band, the less interest I start to have in it)...

I only hate him because he copied the song title 'Never say never' from QOTSA, so when ever i mention that song people think I like Justin, which makes me angry and makes me want to hulk smash his face in.

He is simply the most recent musically talentless pop star to force themselves on us. We revile him for the fact that he is famous and rich in a career path that he is actually quick shockingly bad at.

Also the fact that he sings about love pisses me right off. It's a peeve of mine, just generally, when people go on about love, especially that young. I don't claim to know what 'love' is, or whether I have ever felt it etc, but when some fifteen year old is singing about it...there is no need. It's like putting <3 *girl* in your MSN name...

And his attitude. He is a twat. Just watch the video of him getting bottled

It's not like Robert Pattinson or Zac Effron where, in all honesty, if I was in their shoes I would probably act the same. It's just Bieber in general. Pah.

His personality mostly. He got it off of BET. Also, people don't actually listen to him, they just like him because he's gotten backing from other popular artists. Basically, he's a corporate whore and doesn't even know it. I also find the fact that he's writing a memoir to add to the pretentiousness.

That's about it. Oh! And he's bloody anoying.

I actually hate him for his... "music"... if you can call it that. It isn't often that I completely damn a singer, but he has no skill and his singing voice is atrocious.

Plus, come on, some of the jokes out there involving him are hilarious. I hate him for his skill. I laugh at the memes and such because theyre funny. But if I ever met him in person, I'd do him no harm. I'd only say "not a fan of your music, man, no offense."

Then again, this is coming from someone who likes Lady Gaga, Akon, Beyonce, 3!OH!3, Eminem, Talyor Swift

1) His overwhelming popularity means it's annoying to hear about all the time. Even if he were somehow the next Beethoven, you would get tired of hearing about him or his music after some point.
2) His music is fairly generic; I've heard far better singers in my lifetime including in his age group, making him little more than a marketing mouthpiece, and I do hate the hype he gets. He isn't BAD (quite the contrary for someone his age) but he's not a singing Jimi Hendrix; which is what his marketing team is making him out to be.

I don't hate him personally; I just find his overreaching media presence grating.

I still can't get over the whole "we don't have the word 'German' in America" thing, and the one where he said he's glad he's not a manufactured star like people from Disney.
