EDIT: I'm not religious, I'm pro-life, but I support a woman's right to choose should the situation come up. I don't support abortion, it's just not my judgement to make.
That means you are pro-choice. There is such a small group of people in the pro-choice section that LIKE abortions that it isn't even worth acknowledging.

The abortion(pro-life/pro-choice) arguement stems from a lack of effort to catch up thought/belief with the tehnology and processes of family planning and a lack of respect for privacy(though if I believed that an act is murder I might ignore that arguement). Additionally people of the pro-life bend can be religious in nature or it can stem from secular beliefs just as pro-choiers can follow a stream of faith to the belief that abortion is a privalage that should be a choice of the one carrying the child.

Personally I always followed the trail that abortion is a medical procedure and that it is best left to competent and willing practitioners.

The "revival of religous extremism" is completely caused by American short memory/lack of daily contact syndrome. They have always been here, you just never dealt with them until they had a means of mass communication and something to get there attention.

Why oh why am I reminded of the "hate crime" the idea that since we do not usually know the motive of a murder we immediatly should assume it's because of racism or beliefs, they are so wrong so so wrong.

RELIGIOUS EXTREMISM DOES NOT EXIST IN 'MINORITY GROUPS'. I REPEAT, RELIGIOUS EXTREMISM DOES NOT EXIST IN 'MINORITY GROUPS'. THINK BEFORE YOU INVOKE FLAMING RAGE

That is all.

Even if this is an act of religious fundamentalism, I remain unimpressed. With Muslim extremists performing decapitations in the Middle East whenever they feel that an American tourist is too infidelic, I'm not batting an eyelash at this.
