I can think of just about a billion other bad guys that got twice as many titles and screen time as him.

Maybe game devs are listening to Mr. Croshaw when he insists upon them that SEQUELS ARE A POOR DECISION.

However, I preferred life when Yahtzee was still making exciting point-and-click adventure games. Oh well. At least Chzo will never die.

After playing Resident Evil 5 and defeating Wesker in an arguably spectacular fashion, it came to my attention;
WHY ARE ALL THE VILLIANS FINALLY DYING!?
Are there any great villians left in gaming?
P.S: robotnik was never great, only his voice in Sonic Adventure

That's because villains like Wesker become boring and stale.

We should all fear this man, for he means to force devs to make interesting new storylines with new characters.

Also don't forget about the evil twin.

They are just killing them to make room for the new bad guys that will be coming.

But I usually want the villain to win and destroy the hero/heroin.

Bowser's a terrible villain... every game... same plot to capture the princess... even nintendo themselves have agreed to bowser's annoyance. The same goes for Ganondorf...
Giovanni hasn't been spotted since pokemon yellow (i think)... he must hanve dies of old age by now
Gman isn't really a villian as far as I know... perhaps his true identity will be revealed in EP3?
And as for Robitnik... as internutt mentioned earlier he doesn't really do anything EVIl anymore... just sits back and lets other crappy villians do his jobs...

And as for villians becoming 'stale'... if villians were becoming stale when why gamers keep coming back for more? You can't tell me you were gutted to see Liquid Snake depart...

It's all well and good saying that but heroes are nothing without great villians! Solid Snake would be nothing without a perfect villian for him, and Liquid Snake was that perfect villian!

Well, it seems like he left in the first game to try to redeem himself, so if he came back at all he would probably be an ally of the main character in trying to bring down Team Rocket or something like that.

And I don't think Lance was really a villain, especially in Silver/Gold/Crystal with the whole Lake Of Rage thing.
