Why are you awesome?

The basic premise of this thread is just to (shamelessly) show off and blow your own horn about why you kick ass.

This isnt about one-upmanship or however you spell that. I hope we might be surprised about any talents or hobbies that some escapists have.

So whether you play guitar or you happen to be a chainsaw artist let us know.

As for myself. I currently practice parkour several times a week and I do medieval full contact longsword fighting. I've also dabbled a bit in archery and firespinning.

Thats some of what I do and I think it makes me awesome. Its why I walk in the streets with a little extra swagger in my step.

I'm the lead guitarist and backup growling vocals in a metalcore band jamming on my Ibanez RGT42DXFM, covering material from Flyleaf, Paramore, Evanescence (we have a female singer).

I myself on the other hand cover songs from Dethklok, As I Lay Dying, Trivium, and Metallica (of course).

I have a girlfriend but at this point she's more of a fiancé. I have a large assortment of friends. I'm drug free (I've never even smoked of a cigarette or tried pot because of moral choices) and I choose not to abuse alcohol. I'm pretty content with life.

I also come off as an asshole to a lot of people when I argue.

Well, I think I'm awesome because I don't think I'm awesome.
I feel more proud of my modesty, humility and shame, than I should because it seems like a rare thing for people to have nowadays, and I actually will go out of my way to be nice to someone, because it makes me feel better than everyone else around me, and I'm ashamed that I do it just to feel good about myself, no for the person, and the shame is what makes me feel like awesome, because nobody else seems to take much notice of what other people think.

Anyway, I think I'm awesome because I know I'm not.

For me, well I have fought in two wars, and was medically discharged after surviving being blown up. I currently own and run a small buisness here in the Pacific Northwest and we concentrate on custom built automation and robotics systems.
