I am friends with my friends because they are just as stupid as me.

Me: Who is your favourite power ranger?

Friend: Adam

Me: the frog who turns into a handsome prince

Friend: I want to have your babies

My friends and I bond over 90s nostalgia

They're family in it's purest form, and they've proven time and time again they've got my back. And they're all funny as all hell.

Pretty much that.

Kind of weird for me ha ha, when I was younger I had a crippling fear of bees so while in school I tried everything I could to avoid going outside for recess. One day the principal had had enough of it and dragged me outside to some guys playing Basketball, she had just wanted me to get outside but it turned out that the guys were avid video game players and we've been great friends ever since. :O

Not sure if it's interesting to note but I'm an atheist and the school was a catholic school, if it hadn't been for my mom sending me there my friends and I never would have met. Was it fate or just a random coincidence?

Also, for the love of god OP PLEASE learn the difference between "Your" and "You're". I really can't stand that.
Which is ironic, because my best friend doesn't know the difference between "There" and "Their". No matter how many thousands of times I tell him off...

Ah... Sorry, English is not my first language so I'm not that familiar with it's grammar, I'll remember that next time I type something.

I think it's because we have a lot of common interests. That, and a lot of my friends were either on the same course as me at University, or at least something similar. (I studied Biochemistry and biological chemistry). I am also still in touch with the people I lived with in my final year at university because they are all lovely people and they are a riot to hang out with. I miss living with them some days...

Because of our shared interests and relatively similar intellectual level (by that I mean that they too think that everyone is shit).

And of course, lack of choice.

Oh god, the irony.

Also, I'd like to add here that my native language isn't English either.

Me, a grammar nazi? Yes, sorry.

Well, we've known each other since about two, and in primary school, we liked to make people laugh, and we were smart. We formed a double act, and we remained friends ever since.

Another friend is worth a mention (call him Felicity for obvious reasons), because our friendship started rather strangely. I don't know if you guys remember parachute games from school, with the big, well... parachute? Anyway, we played that one day at school, and I was on Felicity's team. We lost badly, mainly because I was rubbish at sport, and Felicity said jokingly "Simon, try harder next time eh?" I responded wittely "Fuck off you fucking dick." Yeah, I was a jerk at that time. Felicity stared at me, then laughed, said "You're funny, I like you", and asked if I wanted to be his friend. I had exactly two friends at that time (now a staggering six, aah yeahh), and said yes. Friendship, yay!

To which I responded, wait I'm a puppy, a cute puppy???[small](I hate puppies, and the word cute or adorable, eh...)[/small]
Whoa man, careful with those edges.
I know, I can sometimes be as mature as a 10 year old, but I don't hate them because they are cute, I hate them because I've had puppies and they are stinky, loud, dirty and destroy everything, they exasperate me [small](Though to be fair, I think I'm just not the kind of person that should ever have a pet.)[/small]
As for the cute/adorable thing, as I said I was [small]ugh...[/small] kinda cute when I was a kid and everybody called me that and it always annoyed me greatly, I just have an automatic negative switch when I hear those things...

Because they're slow in realising how unlikeable I really am.
As everyone has said they probably like something about you, I myself am not that likeable an individual, hell most people think I hate everything, but she found something to like about me, which I'm guessing is that she finds me funny because she's always laughing when I'm around, then again if I were to describe myself it probably would sound like I'm describing a cartoon character.
[small]I actually like most things and most people, I just come across as grumpy because I almost never smile or laugh.[/small]

We have some common interests, we enjoy each other's company and we laugh together.... that's all there is to it really : \

And I know how you feel about the "cute puppy" thing, I've told that I'm "like a puppy" or "like a little brother" by people for most of my life lol; I look about 5 years younger than my actual age.

Because I serve a purpose in their lives right now and they do the same for me. It's mutual selfishness. Anyone who says otherwise hasn't really thought about it enough.

My oldest friends are my friends simply due to proximity growing up. We met when we were tiny baby children, and have remained friends. I've known them so long I can't say why they're my friends, but I couldn't imagine life without them.

More recent friendships have grown out of mutual friendships, or shared interests - or, again, proximity. That's not to say each and every one of my friends isn't amazing, just that I doubt we really 'chose' one another.

My best mates atm (group of about 6 of us) share my interests. We all play xbox, love football and fifa, like the same sorts of films and tv, enjoy going to the pub as a group or out. We all have the same sense of humour as well, which helps.

Well it started with me and my mate:
We both were born on the same day, with the same first name at the same hospital. And we were best friends since then (we've had our disagreements and not talking to each other for a while).

Though there is one problem: I support Wolverhampton Wanderers and he supports West Bromwich Albion, which does turn into a personal rivalry at times.

And me other main friend is one I've known since I moved to where I live now, he was best mates with me Step-Brother and I used to go round his house on a Saturday and we just play PS1/2, N64 and GameCube and listen to music. And I became friends with his friends and yeah that's why.

Fair enough. The easiest way to remember is that there are two ways to use apostrophes.

1. To make a noun possessive by adding 's to the end. As in "Sally's mum" or "the dog's breakfast".

2. To replace a missing letter (or letters) when mashing two words together.
I'm = I am
I'll = I will
you're = you are
it's = it is (or sometimes "it has")
they're = they are
don't = do not

The confusing one is that the possessive form of "it" is "its" (no apostrophe) to make it clear you don't mean "it is".

Uuh, because they're awesome people. Broke contact with a lot of my old friends because I didn't really see a reason for hanging out with them. My current friends might grind my gears sometimes, but not enough for me to question why I'm with them. Pretty sure I annoy them a lot too.

I think I understand now, but I'll make sure to re-read it tomorrow because it wouldn't be unlikely of me to forget this, I'm half-asleep right now anyway.
